We didn't expect the drastic view changes, but they were all beautiful.
The Bizweni campus was our destination, and as usual, I took a photo of the mountain behind the campus.
Papillon supports the Bizweni Centre for disabled children, and as you can see in the photo above, our expectation was that it was going to be a great day weatherwise. But it turned out not to be as you will see in here. We really thought it would be a great day. If you look at the first photo, wouldn't you agree that it looks so calm and warm, with a few clouds, but nothing to worry about? Well, we had it all wrong.
What looked like a promising sunshiny, no-wind, day turned out to be a turbulent, storm-filled sky. We had to say goodbye to the sun and the pretty white fluffy clouds, and hello to the crazy winds. Yes, the winds here can change the weather in less than half an hour. The locals here say, if someone asks me what the weather is like, I say, phone back in 20 minutes and I will tell you. That is how quick things move in the Cape all thanks to the ever-changing and gusty winds.
I took the picture below of the sky when we left our house.
A bit later, things started to change very quickly, as some angry clouds started gathering, and my camera was very happy :)
Ever seen a sky caterpillar cloud?
Yep! We expected rain at any second.
But now look at this. We were again caught out, as the wind slacked and things started to lighten up again. No rain.
Slowly the blue skies started to appear again.
All of this happened within the hour of our visit to the center. And so, the untamed winds can blow as they please. Some say that I am like the wind, as I like to change things, but one has to accept change to stay on top of things. The sky in this post agrees with me, and the rapid changes are always stunning to behold.
Life is just like that, isn't it? We have had many promises at the NPO that we work, that never materialized, and once again that that is confirmation that the flesh cannot be trusted. But then again, at times somebody totally unexpected will step up to assist us. I have always found that very weird, especially as we have never met the people before, but the winds brought them to us.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
