Not every day that you will see this, and I have taken a truckload of photos on our trip today. No, there is not a truck load of photos in here, but rather just a short selection to show you what I am talking about.
This fancy donkey above is called an Alpaca.
We traveled early to a town called Robertson, to meet with a very special hivean lady @fionasfavourites and after the meeting we took a drive through some of the country roads around the town. Most of the travelers stick to the main road when they travel through town, but some like us travel on the dirt roads around the town as that is where you will find the pictures that I have in this post. So come and drive with us and lets have a look at what we can find here.
Have you ever seen a black swan? Look at this below.
How often do you see a real Nile Crocodile?
How is this for an assembly of goats and chickens?
This view floored me, as I have never before seen flamingos in captivity, and they looked very healthy.
Some more pictures of the Alpacas.
Did you know that Springbok babies are black when they are born?
I did not take all of the photos in one place, as I got the alpacas on a farm next to the road. I will show you in another post where I got the other photos. For now, I just wanted to stir your interest, and I can tell you that I have some really nice photos to post in Hive over the next while. We had hardly arrived at the Avalon Springs lodgings, when my wife popped out on to the balcony of the room to put some breadcrumbs out. I wondered for what. Within half an hour, half of the region's weavers were out on the balcony.
In this country, it is never a good thing to chase from point A to point B, as there is so much going on in-between. Every now and again something is on show for one's camera.
I will soon show you some more interesting photos.
It is very difficult to load pictures in a post during a power cut over here, as the generators are slow, and the pictures each take a long time to load. Thankfully I have done it, and I hope you have enjoyed it.
