Flowers close up with new glass

I got a new lens for my DSLR. The full name is Sigma 18-300 mm f/3,5-6,3 DC Macro OS HSM Contemporary. So now I'm mainly doing experiments and trying to get to grips with it.

As you noticed, the word macro is in the name, so this lens is usable for short distance shots. So flowers, flies and bugs will start to appear more in my articles. (As if there weren't enough of them already.)

On the other hand, with its focal length range of 18 to 300 millimeters, this lens is quite flexible and can handle both wide-angle shots and telephoto. But everything has its pros and cons. This versatility is supposedly redeemed by the not-so-perfect drawing at the edges of the image field, especially at the extremes. I don't know - I'm not such a technical fetishist and I don't examine photos under a magnifying glass. And after testing the glass on a few photos, I think we'll be fine together.

Pořídil jsem si k zrcadlovce nový objektiv. Plným jménem Sigma 18-300 mm f/3,5-6,3 DC Macro OS HSM Contemporary. Takže teď dělám hlavně pokusy a zkouším se s ním nějak sžít.

Jak jste si všimli, v názvu je slovíčko macro, takže tento objektiv je použitelný i na snímky z krátké vzdálenosti. Takže se v mých článcích začnou ve větší míře objevovat i kytičky, mušky a broučci. (Jako by jich už tak nebylo dost.)

Na druhou stranu, svým rozsahem ohniskové vzdálenosti od 18 do 300 milimetrů je tento objektiv docela univerzální a zvládá jak širokoúhlé záběry, tak i funkci teleobjektivu. Jenže všechno má svá pro i proti. Tahle univerzálnost je údajně vykoupená nepříliš dokonalou kresbou v okrajích obrazového pole, zvlášť v krajních polohách. Nevím - já nejsem zase takový technický fetišista a nezkoumám fotky pod lupou. A po tom, co jsem si to sklo na pár fotkách otestoval, myslím, že nám spolu bude dobře.
