Autumn in Lithuania is a season of contrasts—vivid colors against grey skies, warm layers wrapped around people rushing through chilly streets. For my photography assignment in photography school, I was given the task of capturing autumn fashion through street photography. With no set plan, I went out to see how it would go for me.
As I walked through the city, I started noticing how people adapt to the season. Cozy scarves wrapped tightly around faces, long coats flowing in the wind, and deep earthy tones blending with fallen leaves. Some added bright pops of color—red berets, mustard sweaters, patterned scarves—while others stuck to classic blacks and neutrals.
Beyond fashion, autumn has a certain mood. Some moments felt quiet and peaceful—an old lady reading a newspaper on a park bench. Others were lively—friends having a coffee date, walking and discussing life lately.
I hope these photos bring across the beauty and essence of autumn in Lithuania. Let me know which image speaks to you the most!
