We live on top of a hill surrounded by valleys. There is a river in the valley which causes a lot of fog in autumn as well as in winter. There are weeks when we don't see sunshine and at some point I find it depressing, so I decided to hop in the car and go look for it.
I drove for about 20 minutes until I reached a charming little town that I know very well. On the way I saw that the fog clouds were not so thick, so there was a chance that I could see some sunshine!
My walk didn't start as I expected as there was still a lot of fog close to the river but later it started to disappear and at the end it turned out to be great conditions for some photos.
This is one of my favourite places here. Can you see the bench? I spent countless hours here enjoying the views and reading books.
There is a bridge over the river from where there are beautiful views when it's a sunny day. Well, I couldn't see much that day but it had something mystical about it.
The water in the river is crystal clear. It is forbidden to swim here due to frequent boat traffic.
And here we go! Look how pretty it is with some sunshine!
Usually, this beach is packed with tourists. That day I only met people walking their dogs. It was so peaceful but I couldn't enjoy it much as it was way too cold.
Shoes gets dirty..
I love this light. The clouds were thin and sun was so persistent that it was shining through.
It's like it was saying: Here I am! Enjoy me!
I like when the sky is blue but it's also nice with fog. It gives a different perspective and makes us feel like it was a completely different place.
There were so many people sitting outside and enjoying some sort of a beverage, so I thought I would try it too. Well, I have never drank my cappuccino this fast! You might think that I was reading that book and yes, I was planning too but my fingers were freezing off.
I got my sunshine and my daily steps, so I was happy to hop in the car and drive back home 🙂
