La habana es un lugar detenido en el tiempo, cuando caminas por sus calles te remite a los años 40-50 del siglo pasado. Muchos son los elementos que te hacen rememorar esos años, pero hay uno que siempre llama la atención: los automóviles.
Havana is a place stopped in time, when you walk through its streets it takes you back to the 40-50s of the last century. There are many elements that make you remember those years, but there is one that always attracts attention: cars.
Llamados "almendrones" por los habitantes de esa ciudad, estos carros mantienen su diseño y piezas originales, y están pintados de colores muy llamativos, que combinan a la perfección con las fachadas pintorescas del lugar.
Called "almendrones" by the inhabitants of that city, these cars maintain their original design and parts, and are painted in very striking colors that combine perfectly with the picturesque facades of the place.
Generalmente los turistas alquilan estos carros para dar un tour por toda la ciudad. Muchas personas famosas se han visto paseando por toda La Habana dentro de estos carros, desde el presidente Obama, hasta Vin Diesel, Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, Ozzie Osborne, entre otros.
Tourists generally rent these cars to tour the entire city. Many famous people have been seen walking around Havana inside these cars, from President Obama, to Vin Diesel, Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, Ozzie Osborne, among others.
