I love working with color and optical effects. This brings the photo closer to painting and makes it look more like a painting or a mural.
It is a special pleasure to do this in a portrait, especially in the nude. This creates an unusual wealth of textures that might not have been encountered in life. The surface of the skin, the space distorted by refraction, glass, crazy lens aberrations, bizarre glare. And also, of course, the color. I strive for color, which, like in painting, sculpts, creates a form.
These are the ideals in this series of works.
