I wanted to share a taste of an Irish countryside garden. I experimented with some shots. I'm more a videographer than a photographer, but will overmaster this craft in no time.
This is the first shot I took today. It is called "A work in progress", and highlights the perpetual cycle of trying to tame this garden. I would have been posting on HIVE since the beginning, but I had this garden to overmaster. Most of the leg work is done, everything cut, and burnt, but there still remains more, and by the time that is done, it will have overgrown again in some parts. A never finished project. I found that wheelbarrow in my bog. The other one had rusted through the main body, and while scouting for my secret marijuana grow-op I discovered this beast, intact (perfect wheel and everything!) and just needing a lick of paint. Nature always delivers, especially when it comes to getting new cumbersome items which would be an inconvenience to transport from the township.
I don't know what flower this is, but it looked nice so I gave it a snap.
Entitled "Corn Flower?". Perhaps in part 2 I will focus on flowers, plants, trees, shrooms, etc but I don't want to seem like a fool who doesn't know his crustaceans from his chrysanthemums.
This is an "old school plough" (plow). Now it sits as a decorative ornament. Most of these were found in hedges in fields during farming excursions back in the day. There is another one with some gear mechanisms in my bog nearby I discovered recently, but it is so rusted it will fall apart if touched.
This is "little buddha". He sits unassumingly in a dark growth area, always watching (with his eyes closed?) and buddhafying the area. He reminds me of the buddha found in the most unlikely of places.
This is "Potato Digger". It was until recently consumed by the garden. Originally it had a nice display area, and until a few weeks ago was lost inside of overgrowth.
I spend my mornings sitting on that "wall drinking tea", and watching the plebs walk by. The path often gets covered in grass, and was only recently uncovered again. I rolled it up like carpet. The pampas grass is the centrefold of the front garden, to show those plebs who the boss is. Over here pampas grass is a sign of authority, and that you are better than the common man. I was so surpised when I went to Pakistan and saw them everywhere on the side of the road; they are treated like weeds there, and not the grand finale to making anyone who walks by know you are too cool for school.
"A view for a King". The garden is a mess as most things have been chopped down. The front fence had a hedge running all the way along it for privacy, but some parts died and have yet to be replaced. Some plebs walking by have engaged in conversation with me, assuming that the opening of the hedge is an opening into my heart.
You can see a cool burnt area in the front field from this cool music video I did:
And a red chair from this other cool music video I made:
Anyway I hope you have enjoyed this intrusion into my life. I'll hopefully do a part 2 and maybe a part 3 as I have barely touched the surface of what my garden offers. And also there is my totally illegal grow op in and around the area (I'm getting ahead of the curve and preparing for legalization; I got so much land just sitting there, waiting to be farmed again, and I have developed some radical techniques and want to perfect some strains for my county, and go global... don't tell the popo).
Love & Peace!
