A little man stands in the forest, and no, it is not the rose hip that we have here in front of us. And whether male or female is not clear either. Nevertheless, it is always a beautiful sight when you find the journeymen in good condition.

Ein Männlein steht im Walde, und nein es ist nicht die Hagebutte die wir hier vor uns haben. Und ob Mänchen oder Weibchen ist auch nicht klar. Trotzdem ein immer wieder schöner Anblick wenn man die Gesellen in gutem Zustand antrifft.

Flying seeds / Flugsamen

Parachutists before the jump. Nature as a master builder can be admired in all parts of the forest.

Fallschirmspringer vor dem Absprung. Die Natur als Baumeister ist im Wald an allen Stellen zu bewundern.

Deadwood / Totholz

Why this tree has shed its bark remains unclear, but all sorts of wild bees or the common rodent beetle use this as a breeding ground or new habitat. The larger holes come from the woodpecker, who of course can't miss this.

Warum dieser Baum seine Rinde abgelegt hat bleibt unklar, jedoch nutzen dies alle möglichen Wildbienen oder der gewöhnliche Nagekäfer als Brutstätte oder neuen Lebensraum. Die größeren Löcher stammen vom Specht der sich das natürlich nicht entgehen lässt.

Ants / Ameisen

A gigantic anthill concludes this post. Due to the busy activity around the hill, I decided not to take macro shots. Setting up the tripod and finding the composition would have made me a victim of these large black predatory ants.

Ein gigantischer Ameisenhügel bildet den Schluß dieses Artikels. Aufgrund der regen Tätigkeit um den Hügel habe ich auf Makroaufnahmen verzichtet. Das Aufbauen des Stativs und finden der Komposition hätte mich zum Opfer dieser großen schwarzen Raubameisen gemacht.
