I had been wanting to test alternative photographic processes for a while, and in the last few months I started playing with cyanotype.
Between trial and error, I liked some pieces, others not so much. In the last week I started to tone some cyanotypes that I had not liked so much in the original blue and I found that they became much more interesting.
To tint the image I used the coffee that was left over after I went through it in the morning. This image was immersed for over 24 hours in a solution of coffee powder and water.
Before that I needed to bleach the cyanotype to make sure that the tinting would work. I used sodium carbonate for this step.
Today I'm sharing some experiments I did with dried leaves, found in a waterfall during a trip. The lines of the leaves fascinate me so much and I hope that you like it too.
