These little birds are so funny, the antics I see going on outside my window is pretty amazing. Sometimes they all get along, but usually they will go after each other while feeding. And sometimes they will sit on top of the feeder, waiting for others to try to feed just to swoop down on them.

Always surprised by how close they let me get to them. Or when I am out checking on my plants by them they will show up and feed with me just a few feet away.
I love the color of their coat, it has an emerald green color and the males have a ruby red color under their neck.
We can see the above is a male from its red coloring on its neck, along with it aggressively guarding the feeder. I have yet to see a female do that.
Besides all of that, I am happy to say these little birds have been visiting my cacti flowers as well. Seems they do when the feeder runs out but regardless they still are helping to pollinate them.
