Niedawno odwiedzałem koleżankę w szpitalu w Pilchowicach i natknąłem się na tyłach tego szpitala na resztki starego cmentarza.
Recently, I was visiting a friend in the hospital in Pilchowice (Poland, Silesia) and I came across the remains of an old cemetery at the back of the hospital.
Pochodzi on z XIX wieku, założono go przy klasztorze Bonifratrów w 1814. Zachowały się tylko niektóre z nagrobków. Napisy na nich są niemieckie, ale nazwiska głównie polskie. Dobrze utrzymany jest grób poety Konstantego Damrota. Był on również zasłużonym działaczem dla polskości Śląska.
It comes from the 19th century, it was founded next to the Hospitallers' Monastery in 1814. Only some of the tombstones have survived. The inscriptions on them are German, but the names are mainly Polish. The grave of poet Konstanty Damrot is well-maintained. He was also an important activist for the Polishness of Silesia.
