Today while out for a walk, nothing was catching my eye to do photos of. Until I noticed a few dragonflies following along with me. This on flew right by my face and landed on a plant right beside me, so how could I not pull the camera out?
Then another one landed right above me on a tree branch.
It was a pleasant surprise! Dragonflies typically are found around water, but I was no where close to any water supplies. I'm thinking they just had an abundance of food in the area (they are actually veracious predators of other flying insects).
