Have you ever seen these clouds?!
On my vacation some weeks ago I witnessed some spectacular clouds! While it is not the first time I have seen this kind, it is very rare to see them from my experience. These came about just right before rain started to set in. I suppose there also might have been a light thunderstorm near to where I was standing. It all happened quite fast, and the formation didn't last all too long (20-30 min). A zoomed in version looks like it was taken on another planet...

and from a different angle...
As you can see I happened to be on a beach. This cloud formation was also fairly local and I was lucky enough to witness them :)
A quick AI search reveals this about them:
Altocumulus undulatus clouds are mid-level clouds that form parallel bands or wave-like patterns, creating a striking, rippled appearance across the sky β just like in your photo. This pattern is caused by atmospheric wave action, where stable layers of air move over each other, creating these undulating cloud formations.
They often indicate some wind shear or turbulence in the atmosphere but usually donβt bring significant precipitation. They can be a beautiful sign of changing weather, sometimes preceding a front or storm system.
