Rising Star - I choose one song per day, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Tu Locura: Gustavo Cerati

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: A los jovenes de ayer: Serú Giran

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Tu Locura of the argentine artist Gustavo Cerati

The other day I put together a playlist that has songs from my two favorite Rock Nacional artists: Charly Garcia and Gustavo Cerati. I have also included in the playlist songs when they were part of groups like Soda Stereo, Seru Giran and Sui Generis.

Every day I use the Spotify platform, so I usually start with one of the first songs from all the playlists I have. The platform usually gives song recommendations depending on what you are listening to.

Thanks to a recommendation from the platform, I discovered Tu Locura, a song that stands out for its excellent musical base, perfectly complemented by Cerati's beautiful voice.

Gustavo Cerati was born in 1959 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since he was a child he showed an interest in music, so he learned to play the guitar.

In 1982, he decided to found with one of his bandmates Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti, the band Soda Stereo. Soda Stereo became one of the most successful bands of Rock en Español, thanks to albums such as Soda Stereo, Signos and Doble Vida.

Soda Stereo disbanded in 1997, which allowed Gustavo Cerati to start his solo career, taking advantage of the fame he had achieved with the band. With albums such as Bocanada, Ruido and Fuerza Natural, Cerati continued to establish himself as one of the most influential and recognized artists of the genre, confirming his talent and innovative capacity until the end of his career.

Tu Locura is part of the album Canciones Elegidas 93-04, released in 2004. This compilation album gathers the highlights of Gustavo Cerati's career between 1993 and 2004.
