Rising Star - My Daily song choice, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Black and Yellow: Wiz Khalifa

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

Starting in May, I started to create a playlist to keep track of the last songs I commented on in my posts. It will be useful for me not to doubt if I had already talked about a song before or not. The last song is Real Niggaz Don't Die of the american group N.W.A

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Black and Yellow of the artist Wiz Khalifa.

Whenever I talk about a Hip-Hop song, I always tell my story of how I started knowing the songs of the genre. I always mention how it was one of the first times I had contact and where some acquaintances enlightened me with many songs of this genre.

It all started in my adolescence, where I was playing Roleplay in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I remember we were roleplaying as African-American gang members, so they put a boombox where you could enter a streaming radio link and the other players could play the song at the same time. It used a platform called OffLiberty, which allowed to transform a song from Youtube to a streaming link.

The songs that my acquaintances used to play, were all songs that fit what an African-American gangster of the time would listen to, so that's how I discovered artists like Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, among others. But there was also a more current artist that had caught my attention: Wiz Khalifa. The only song I actually remember from this artist was Black and Yellow, which if I'm not mistaken was released at that time.

Wiz Khalifa is a rapper originally from North Dakota, United States. He began his musical career in the early 2000s, gaining notoriety through several mixtapes, however, he was not able to stand out in the music industry.

In 2006, he released his first studio album, although it failed to achieve significant commercial success. His breakthrough came four years later, in 2010, with the release of the single "Black and Yellow," a song that pays tribute to his adopted hometown of Pittsburgh and became a worldwide hit.

The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
