Although it has been 420 all of this April (4/2020) today is offically 4/20/20. I was thrilled to receive my new Dynavap BB9 to pair with a beaded glass bubbler and my Rosium & Aurum M tips. I was able to direct and edit an explosive video thanks to my stellar videographer. However today on 420 something horrifying happened.

Yesterday I woke up on a day off form work and was dead set on making a cool 420 video with all of my new paraphernalia. So I began set up for place to film with a colorful mushroom blanket and a wave-like glass tile. I then brought my imagination to life by way of vocal orders to the lens operator. We were able to get all of the clips I needed and then I sat down and edited for a few hours.

4/19 was better than 4/20 😱
I did not wake and bake today, I decided to have breakfast first instead. After eating I took an amazing rip from the bubbler/BB9/Rosium tip combo. I sat the glass down and then sat a few feet away from the table, quite thrilled after medicating.
I was quite proud of this setup. Too bad it didn’t last very long. At least I have my two M’s to satisfy my needs still. Just cannot use them with the bubbler for now.
There was nobody else around my apartment, suddenly a terrible incident occurred. I heard the sound of a tiny piece of glass hitting the table. I look over to find the BB9 (the end where it connects to the Rosium tip) had broken in half while still inside of the bubbler!
I didn't take a photo of the glass break until after I took the BB9 out of the bubbler.
There was zero user error. I had just applied DynaWax so I barely even had to press to get the tip inside of the BB9 beforehand. I do not heat past the click either. The only thing I can think of is I may have paused before the click (waited 5 seconds) and then continued heating until the click since it was a cold start. However I learned to do that from the Dynavap YouTube Channel, so I assume that is okay to do even with the BB9. If it is not smart to do that with glass, then another video should be posted to clarify that to the Dynaverse. That or perhaps there was a tiny crack when I received the BB9 that only made itself aware after I had but it through a couple of days of heating.
This appears to be my preemptive rage from yesterday for this morning’s incident.
Either way I am pretty sad this happened. Now I have a worthless BB9 amd a bubbler that I currently cannot use since I got it specifically for my 2019 M & BB9 (I do not smoke anymore). Thankfully Dynavap is a great company and will surely respond to my email within a couple of days. If they replace my BB9 I will try this all over again. If they say they will not replace it, then I will just try one of the many alternative adaptors for the M to work again with my bubbler.

I have already been recommended to check out WoodScents - DynaVap Tip Glass Beaded WPA by: Ed's TnT by a helpful user in the Dynaverse on Facebook. Plus there is the $2 rubber Fat Mouthpiece that I am a total idiot for not putting inside of my cart during the BB9 order (just in case it were needed at some point.) I will be back to the bubbler by May 1st I'm sure. Despite the weak glass, I am still having a freaking awesome 420, I hope you are too!
My favorite photo from yesterdays session. Such a great way to remember my fallen BB9. Funny thing is, I accidentally sent this same photo to a group chat filled with my relatives by mistake. They never responded, but I know they saw. I wonder if they were able to figure out what was going on in the photo. If they were to read this blog, they would surely understand. Would they think I’m misguided or creative for it, who knows.
