A somewhat secret smoke spot, today I’m going to go explore one of Boston’s most valuable treasures.

One thing about Boston’s intricate geography, while not the biggest city in the world, it's sure easy to explore by bikes and shoes. This is because at the time of it's design, the focus wasn’t on the automobiles that didn’t exist yet, but rather the pedestrians.

This aspect of Boston makes it a great place to take some weed out for a walk, and today I’m going to my favorite local spot to enjoy some cannabis in the great outdoors. ......The Arbs (sic).

As Boston grew about to about three times its original size, between the early and late 1800s, a major part of that development included what is known as "The Emerald Necklace" .

One of the most celebrated locations within Boston’s Emerald Necklace is the Arnold Arboretum, lent to Boston by Harvard University.

The Arnold Arboretum is regarded as one of the nicest arboretums in the world, housing miles of beautiful walking paths as well a tremendous collection of shrubberies, trees, and plants from all over the planet.

It’s also a top spot for dog walks in the Boston area, and am assuredly in good company when I tell you it's my personal favorite. What can I say, I love dogs and weed and my dogs love weed and me!

Sadly, the dogs are home today though. Seems that they also love medicated coconut oil, especially when, like last night, there were so many fireworks going off. Giving them a little bit of a coconut oil infused nut based dog treat that my wife has come up with, seems to help with the anxiety. It does, however make them a little lazy, epecially the larger and more senior Jalapeño, our P.R. “Sato” Rescue.

Anyway....To help bring the new year, I decided to roll myself a blunt this morning.

I’m using a Fronto King tobacco wrap....fun fact As I learned this year at the 2019 Harvest Cup, One of my favorite reggae artists, Sizzla, Is now the Fronto kings Brand Ambassador.

I’ll also be using some Sugarwax that I have,

As well as some freshly scraped kief

and of course some Bruce Banger hybrid cannabis nuggets.

One of the great things about the walking paths near the Arbs’ South Street entrance are the calming sounds of the bubbling brook, tracing the beautifully adorned rhododendron path. There is a steep climb to get there, but up at the top is my all time favorite smoke spot.

I’ve been coming here for longer than I’ll admit and imagine I’ll still be sneaking off of the main trail as a smiley faced, red eyed, elderly, old man.

So because I rolled a blunt and sparked it before I even started this walk, by the time I get to the top I was almost at the end of it and it was a little harsh. No worries though I persevered... Man, blunts are awful for hiking ...lol...maybe it was the distillate too? Next time I’ll bring water.

I don’t smoke them too often and it shows but today is the first of the new year so I felt like this was method that made the most sense, as I like to walk and smoke some form of weed cigarette Vs. walking with the bowl. I don’t know joints and blunts sessions seem less rushed, I guess.

I try to incorporate a little exercise with my smoking, because it’s important to get out of the car, or the house, for a second and get fresh air, and sunlight and feel the wind and everything else that comes with being outside in a naturally beautiful place.
