Hey guys! Been not even a full week under these plants belt and I'm honestly tired of hand watering every day already. I had already been looking into automated watering systems prior to this, but hesitated to pull the trigger thinking I could hold out hand watering for long. Nope. I looked into Autopots, which seem to be a nice solution, and really well engineered, but thought it would be a shame to get rid of my fabric pots I already bought. I also didn't like that you were limited to using their container for the autopot 4 pot system. I eventually stumbled upon the Blumats system and figured this would be the ideal system for me. Modular, and expandable, and highly adaptable. Set up was super easy, soaking both the top and bottom of the "carrot" in water for 20 minutes, then screwing them back together, inserting the carrot into the medium, then connecting the lines. Total time for set up and dialing in took <1 hour for 4 plants. Will be monitoring closely the next couple of days to make sure it's dialed in, but am super excited to see how they work.
