The Orange Barb hybrid is seven weeks into bloom cycle, two more to go - the Pink Apricot was harvested last week, the Pink Apricot clone is in it's third week of bloom. Two New Strains have been planted, Durban Violette and Pineapple Express.
Orange Barb bloom
The Orange Barb cannabis strain was created with the crossing of the Barbara Bud and Tangie strains - living up to it's sativa side genetics, this plant grew tall, I had to rig the lights in the tent to raise them higher than normal.

With high yield genetics, the buds are stacking up nicely and growing thicker - seven weeks into bloom. They are starting to get a strong smell to them, sweet citrus orange from the ample Linalool, Caryophyllene, Myrcene, Limonene, and Humulene terpenes.
You can see the pollinated bud below on the left, with the pistils turning orange, each pollinated pistil pair pod will grow an Orange Barb x Pink Apricot crossed strain seed variety.

Shimmering trichomes are starting to cover the buds and the leaves, just a couple more weeks until harvest.
Pink Apricot clone
Third week of bloom for the Pink Apricot clone, six weeks remaining, I'm giving this one an extra week to finish up.
You can see the thick trained bent over stalk in the picture below, on the left. This Pink Apricot clone was in the veg growth mode for a week longer than it's mother - the various bud tops are filling in nicely, I'm curious to see how thick they will get.

Pink Apricot Harvest
With five weeks of vegetative growth, and nine weeks of bloom time, the Pink Apricot was harvested last week after a total of fourteen weeks of growth.
I snipped each stalk and hung them upside down from clothes hangers for drying. They spent the first night in a ventilated tent, then the remaining six days in the basement washroom with the exhaust fan turned on to keep a small air flow.

Cannabis is a beautiful plant, there's really no other plant like it. It's cannabinoids match up perfectly with our body's own cannabinoid well being system, it's like home grown medicine.

Each day I would snip off leaves, each day the plant would get stickier as it dried.
Below are two colas, the one on the right was pollinated with Pink Apricot pollen and is bursting with pure bred Pink Apricot seeds - the cycle of life is preserved, I'll save these for future grows.

Below you can see six healthy seeds that I found in a handful of little buds that had already dried, there will be many more from the directly pollinated cola top.
Seeds saved in a waterproof container.
After almost a week the buds are drying evenly - tomorrow I'll snip the buds off the stalks, snip remaining leaves, then store them in an air tight jar for curing and burping. I sampled some bud smoke, sweet apricot and light diesel flavor, smooth and balanced hybrid buzz - I'll post a full bud review soon.
Pineapple Express seedling
It's the first week of vegetation growth for this Pineapple Express seedling, it's off to a great start. After soaking the seed in water for a couple days, the seed had popped and a tap root was growing out of it. After a day in a damp paper towel, the sprout was planted in the dirt with the tap root side down.

Pineapple Express was created with the crossing of the Trainwreck and Hawaiian strains - a well known strain and movie.

These seeds are not feminized, so the plant could be a bud producing female, or a pollen producing male. If it turns out to be male then I'll collect the pollen for cross breeding use - if it's female then I'll cross pollinate one of it's buds with Pink Apricot pollen, then smoke the rest.
Day 7
Durban Violette sprout
A week ago I started soaking another cannabis seed, the Durban Violette. After a couple days the popped seed was moved to a paper towel, then last night it was planted in the dirt. The Durban Violette strain is a Purple Papaya variety from the Weathered Islands cannabis company - a very vigorous grower, with a citrus, pine, and cinnamon scent and flavor (Source).

The container was placed a couple feet under a grow light - a humidity dome was added to protect the seedling from the heat and light, when it first emerges. This was from a feminized seed, so it will most surely be a bud producing female plant - with a remaining five weeks of veg growth and nine weeks of bloom time, I look forward to this seedling's emergence, and the harvest day.
