Greetings to everyone in the Afri-Tunes community.
Today, I am presenting the song Great Nation by Timi Dakolo.
Earlier this week, I was listening to this song on the radio, and the presenter made a comment about it.
In his words, "Timi Dakolo did not know the great piece he put together at the time of producing this song".
I love the second verse of the song which talks about how our diversity makes us strong.
There has been a low-key vibe lately. Due to the tension caused by the presidential election, most people haven't fully resumed their businesses.
Even though we talk about bad governance and selfish politicians, we're also the problem.
I read just a few hours ago about a prophet who is threatening Igbos to pack their things out of Lagos because one of the presidential candidates who seems to be everyone's favorite, beat the other.
That was something a lot of people described as a tenant sending the landlord packing out of his own house. Funny
In another WhatsApp status, I saw someone saying that it is better if the country becomes divided if her preferred candidate, Peter Obi, does not win the election.
Tribalism is disgusting, as singer Asa said on her Instagram. We just want a better Nigeria. We should all strive for a better nation, free from tribalism and other divisions.
Currently, as Nigerians await the results of the election, there is a lot of tension in the country.
My prayer is that whoever becomes our next president, in God's mercy, is able to deliver Nigeria we desire.
All Nigerians hope that the new president will be able to usher in a new era of peace and prosperity; one that will take Nigeria to higher heights of greatness.
Plan B, also called JAPA, is what everyone talks about because nobody wants to suffer anymore.
I would also JAPA to find greener pastures if I had my way.
I hope that someday, Nigeria will become a country that others want to visit too, just like we wish to visit other countries.
As a result of all the current happenings in the country today, I was inspired to sing the song. That song I originally prepared will probably be done another time.
Meanwhile, pardon me because I had to double-check the lyrics so that I wouldn't sing anything that doesn't belong in the songs.
Also, don't mind the sweat, I'll just say I'm having a hot flash and blame it on the heat!
This is as a result of NEPA abi PHCN wey no dey bring light when we need am.
I hope this presentation is worth your time.

[Chorus]
We're all we have
We'll defend our land
We believe in this nation
And we know we'll get there
We're all we have
We'll defend our land
We believe in Nigeria and the promise she holds
And that one day we'll shine like the sun
We're a great nation
We're all we have
We'll defend our land
We believe in this nation
And we know we'll get there
We're all we have
We'll defend our land
We believe in Nigeria and the promise she holds
And that one day we'll shine like the sun
We're a great nation
