Greetings!
One of the essence of life is to listen to good music. What this means is that music is not just ordinary, in fact, it's one of those things that makes life worth living as it's life in itself.
Also, music is not about singing alone, as we have other things attached to it. Some of those things attached to it are rhythms, rhymes and the likes. But beyond that, there's one thing that's so important when doing music and that thing is the instrument.
The musical instrument is one of the major pillars that music is anchored on. Without musical instruments, music would be worthless and life and the salt in it would be lost. But with the presence of musical instruments in music, music is great.
Having said this, I would like to talk a little bit on the topic of the prompt before us this week which is all about the benefits of learning a musical instrument.
In my own view, there are a series of benefits of learning a musical instrument, but out of those many benefits, I would like to discuss with us three of the benefits which are, cognitive development, emotional expression and stress relief.

First and foremost, I would like to start with the first of the three which is cognitive development. Learning a musical instrument can help us in the development of our memories through concentration and providing solutions to musical and even life problems.
Recently, when I started learning the keyboard or piano as it may apply to you, I realized that I have been able to develop my level of memorization and concentration which were lacking in me before. The reason for this is that I am learning something that needs a full level of concentration and memorization and through this, i have been able to develop these two skills in the cognitive world.
Secondly, through the learning of a musical instrument, I have been able to stabilize my emotions and that of others around me. This wouldn't have happened if I'm not into learning the piano or keyboard. So, when I'm feeling unhappy or depressed, I call for my piano and play and sing to the melodies that come from the keys and with this my sorrow is gone.
Furthermore, the learning of a musical instrument has really helped me in my socialization with others. Through my learning of a musical instrument, I have been able to socialize myself with others. Before going to learn how to play a musical instrument, I was this kind of a person that didn't relate with people. In fact, I was a reserved person, but ever since I started learning how to play the piano, my level has gone up and this is one of those benefits I have been enjoying for learning a musical instrument.
In conclusion, learning a musical instrument comes with so many benefits and apart from the aforementioned benefits above, there's also other benefits such as brain development, confidence development with discipline and focus. All these and the ones I have mentioned earlier are the benefits of learning a musical instrument.
