Hello everyone! It's me again, @marie.creates. I hope you're all doing fine with your life. By the way, I want to say thank you for all the support you have given in my previous blog. And now, I am back with a new post.
For this blog, I want to share with all of you my trip in going to the school where I was assigned and a little tour of the place.
GET READY WITH ME!
Rise and shine; it's Monday and it's time to go to work. I wake up at 5:00 in the morning. I usually wake up early because my workplace is quite far from home and I need to travel for about 1 and 30 minutes ( waiting for the bus to arrive is not included). Good thing, my official time in school is 9:00 AM so I have enough time to travel.
I took a bath and wore my school uniform. I only put sunscreen on my face for sun protection and after that I'm ready to go. I usually don't eat breakfast at home because it's still early so my mother packed my food and I will eat it when I arrived at school.
From my place, I need to ride a motorcycle for about 10 minutes for me to reach the national road. While going there, I couldn't resist being amazed by the beauty of God's creation. Nature will always captivate my heart.
THE WAITING GAME!
After reaching the national highway, I will wait for the bus to arrive. Usually it will arrive after 30 minutes or more. And after 30 minutes finally, it is here. Thank God there is a vacant seat. Sometimes I can't find a seat since there's a lot of passengers every Monday going to Cebu City for work and I have no choice but to stand during my first commute especially if I am in a hurry.
MY FIRST STOP
After 30 minutes, I am now at my first stop. This place is Lugo, Borbon, Cebu. There is a big church and beside it is the road going to Tabuelan and Tuburan, Cebu. Again, I will wait for the bus to arrive going to Tuburan, Cebu via Tabuelan.
Indeed, patience is a virtue. Whether you are traveling or teaching, patience must be there for you to be able to reach your goal.
At last, the bus is here! I'm so happy because I didn't wait that long and I was able to find a seat. While traveling, some of the passengers get in and all of the seats are occupied so they don't have a choice but to stand in the middle of the trip. Since they are in a hurry, they would never mind doing it.
WELCOME TO MUNICIPALITY OF TABUELAN
After an hour, I arrive at the Municipality of Tabuelan. The place where my school is located. From here, it would take 15 minutes to walk. You could also ride a motorcycle with 20 pesos fare.
In my case, I prefer walking because it's the best form of exercise and you get to save your 20 pesos. Plus you get to feel this view.
Near the gate you get to see the beauty of nature. A small road surrounded with Mahogany trees, so relaxing and refreshing. It's like a man-made forest in Bohol.
THE SCHOOL IN THE SKY
I have arrived at my destination. Welcome to Juan Pamplona National High School, the mother school in Tabuelan with around 65 teaching staff, 4 non-teaching personnel, and around one thousand learners.
In the lower campus, you could see the big sign "JPNHS" ( this is one of my favorite spot) and rooms for Grades 9 and 10 learners. The Principal's office, the Guidance Office, the Library, the School Clinic and the Stage.
This is called the "School in the Sky" because literally reaching middle and upper campuses is uphill. You need to climb the staircase for you to reach there. It's quite tiring and you need to pause every after 10 steps. However, when you reach the middle campus and seeing smiles of the students with their greetings. It's fulfilling!
Another reason is, this school offers a lot of strands in Senior High School so students get the chance to choose what they like and what they want. It is the most competitive school in Tabuelan District so we aim our students to be competitive as well.
This is the view of the middle campus. Most of the students are from Grade 7 and Grade 8.
If you have noticed, we have limited classrooms but we have a thousand of learners. Well, we are shifting classes just to cater all of them.
For the morning shift, that would be Grades 7 and 9 at 6:00 - 12:00 noon. For the afternoon shift, Grades 8 and 10 at 12:00 - 6:00 pm. Regular classes for Senior High School students at 7:45 - 4:45 pm.
Lastly, the upper campus is the TVL - Senior High School Building where Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Cookery, and Housekeeping are located.
And what's so great in here is after the tiring climb you get to enjoy this beautiful view of the sea.

And that's it for my trip from my hometown to the school where I taught. Probably, many of you would ask if I travel everyday. Well, the answer is no. I rented a house and I went home every weekend.
Some of you would say it's far from my place. Yes, you got it right! It's quite far but I have no complaints because this is one of the greatest blessings of my life. This profession changed my whole life and made me the best version of myself.
So to all applicants and future teachers out there, keep on pursuing your dream. If it's for you it will find a way to reach you. Trust God and keep the faith!
Once again, this is @marie.creates saying "We create our own life story, make it meaningful and wonderful".
I hope to see you again soon. God bless everyone!
