Asterix is a game released on (Arcade) by KONAMI.A choice of two characters is available the player fights as Gal Asterix or his best friend Obelix. The game can be completed by using standard grabs such as punching, kicking, clapping, etc. or by using a special powerful "fast rotating arm" attack. This special ability is done by holding down the attack button for a short moment until the character's face turns red. Then the player must approach the enemy and release the button. At this point, the enemy will fly up and drop down after a moment. This special attack is the only way to defeat the strongest bosses in the game.Asterix includes a variety of humorous combat moves that are demonstrated in the game's attract mode.There are also bonus levels of the chariot race type that awaits at the end of the first level introduce various gameplay elements to provide a break from combat.The game was developed by a Japanese company but the in-game text is available in English or French from where the Asterix and Obelix comic was just created.
