Yellow Freakin' Fear...I pull this phrase from the movie Joe vs. The Volcano. I absolutely love that move. Actually it is a family favorite, and we could probably tell you every word to it.
In the movie there is a scene where Joe is in the process of quitting his job. His boss is still talking crap the whole time, but Joe launches into a monologue about why he even works for the company at all.
In his rant he says that he never left because of fear...yellow freakin' fear. I think that is such a beautiful line for any movie. I think it is the most accurate statement to sum up the actions of most humans ever.
I believe that we all live in a world that we create. Our reality is built based on many different perspectives, but ultimately we settle in to a routine, and it is possibly due to fear.
To break out of our own routines and try something new is just amazing. To see the world from a different angle. To try something that we have never done before. Or even to be brave enough to make a decision to change something, and to feel the power that comes from it.
Stacie D and I have alot of decisions coming up very soon. We seem to have alot of irons in the fire, and it is all coming to a head at once. The biggest is that we are heading back out onto the open road. We are also building a blockchain based business, which seems to be really impacting us emotionally.
I know that all of the decisions that we are going to make are not easy ones, but they are going to be bold and beneficial. Life is too short to worry about all of the petty little things, and I refuse to live in Yellow Freakin' Fear.
