One of the things I noticed straight away when we heard the news was that all the witnesses, especially those in the top 20 were jumping straight to ‘hostile takeover’ territory — I think that it was valid and it was interesting over the course of a few hours who jumped in to calm other witnesses down and while I still think it was on the naive scale not to action that straight away I’m sure they have it in the back pocket now.
One thing that has come front and centre since thou is the suppression of ‘free speech’ there is no free speech on steem, it’s either the policy line to maintain the wealth of those who have a lot of SP invested so they can protect their investment or your out, suppressed by the mob hand — I think a lot of people looking for a decentralised system will understand that quickly about steem — but it could be a perfect fit for tron, that’s maybe why they acquired it, it’s the kind of thing you want.
Steem is the hairspray to the fluffed up hairpiece!
Both tron and steem are seen as shitcoins in the global cryptocurrency scene, that is coins that don’t really do anything — from my experience on steem that’s not particularly true but ultimately it seems that everyone burns out eventually on steem I mean how can you have a million accounts and only 10k daily users, it’s hardly a massive platform compared to centralised platforms, maybe libra will just steal the blockchain thunder of everything?
But I’m still kinda surprised about Justin having so much steem SP stake and not doing anything with it — surely it makes sense even today to like spin up 10 main nodes for the steem community, maybe vote them up a bit so maybe they are in the top 20 so you have a seat at the table — I mean you don’t have too, you can just bring in your own table and chairs and repaint the restaurant but you probably won’t get the locals eating there.
Maybe a new chain technology will drop tomorrow and will completely foreshadow what’s gone before it. Maybe tron has something up it’s sleeve in terms of bonding it’s torrent technology into some kind of unified platform, I mean if you have that much money and investors behind you, well, you can achieve anything — you can bend anyone to your will and desire and spit out the outcome that you want, the true business owner of a steem blockchain company like steemit.
I’ve been really pleased to see frontends like steempeak really step it up and also esteem, those two frontends are better in my opinion totally on design — if I was Justin I’d be looking to purchase one of those if not both and get them redesigning with tron livery ASAP — what better way not to have mixed signals and white noise but to repaint the shop!
