Good day to you all here on hive.
I remain this humble soul who is always ready to appreciate my existence on the surface, once we realize that staying alive is never by our power or might then we know that all we have to do in life is to thank God for his mercy and grace over us.
Many times we don’t know the value of the air we breathe in and breathe out. We don’t know how much of His grace is bestowed upon us. The moment we lack any of these things is when we realize that we must have lost something huge and of great value.
Just like we might not appreciate those alive as to when they are gone. When we lose them, we feel their presence the most. We wish they were back to us. We began to cherish those moments we shared and the memories we had.
It is better to appreciate whatever we have before it’s too late. Nothing lasts forever. The wealth you have today, appreciate it because tomorrow it might be no more. The health you have today, appreciate it and make use of it judiciously because tomorrow you might be lagging in some of these things. No one is certain about life and what the future has in place for us. That power was bestowed upon you today. Please do well to utilize it well, because you might turn powerless tomorrow.

Visiting the hospital
It’s said that the sick individual is not the person lying on the sick bay but the person taking care of the sick patient. It’s not easy to take care of the sick. They are helpless and powerless, all they need is support and courage. When you pay a visit to the hospital you will realize that it is not by your power you have gotten that sound health on you.
Your major complaint is all about money right? Then when you visit the hospital you see a lot of people from wealthy homes whose wealth has nothing to offer them other than to just stare at them. The only thing they will be praying for is grace.
You get to see a lot of people who are your age, you see those below your age, you see those older than you. If you may think it's the daily workout you had in the gym or the herbal tea you have been drinking. You get to realize that it's just grace and nothing more. You are not special. Some got admitted and kicked the bucket at that instant and they would never surface on earth again.
How about the prison yard
If you wish to know if freedom is costly then be in the prison yard. Just like the hospital, you will get to see a lot of people who are accused wrongly of a crime they never committed but they are suffering the consequences. You get to see people who came from wealthy families but could buy their freedom. Many times you think your life is tiresome and boring just because you ain’t rich enough. How about you get to see those who were given life imprisonment in a cell and wish death could just show up anytime sooner but they keep living each day?
Don’t forget the mortuary
This is where you might feel it the most. Those fresh skin of yours, it better you appreciate it while you can because you never can tell what will come of it after you are gone. Those in the mortuary never knew their corpses would remain like that. The grace you have today is that you can breathe in and out for free. Once it’s over then there is no coming back.
Conclusion
I have been a little ill for a couple of days now. It hasn’t been something so easy. I knew it wasn’t by my power but by the grace of God, I am now getting a balance again. I am also using this medium to pray for a quick recovery for everyone out there who is ill or sick in one way or the other. You truly know the value of your health when you lack them.
