Why do we have incompetent technicians?
Wait a minute, how come a phone's battery dies or goes off at 42% after fixing a screen?
Let me just rant here please, I've been holding up this since last week.
I think many things have triggered my bad mood, first, let me state that I have been having bad days since Monday.
After publishing content that Monday night, I dropped my phone somewhere close to my bed, and lo and behold I slept off, at about 2 am, the power supply was restored so I decided to wake up to charge, only to find out that I had slept on my phone and the screen had gone blank, the ink had overflown and covered the whole screen.
Well, thanks to Hive, the next morning which was Tuesday, I decided to withdraw some HBD to fix my phone, which I did, now here was another problem I encountered.
I transferred money from my bank account into the phone technician's account after he had fixed the screen, only to be debited by my bank and not credited into his account, luckily for me I went with my brother, so to avoid embarrassment he offered to transfer the money to him through is Opay account which went through immediately, so now I had to find a way to get back the money to refund him.
I waited for the money to be reversed for at least I waited for 24hours but nothing happened at this point I was getting worried because some of these banks can be mischievous, and $20 (15,000 naira)was at stake.
I decided to reach them on their helpline, and that was when MTN my mobile network provider decided to be unstable, I mean the network went all out throughout that day, and I didn't know if I should scream or cry, it was getting me all worked up.
The next day, I managed to reach them on Twitter, on their verified account and I wasn't getting any favorable response, thought about going to their office, however, that was not the best option as it was usually crowded all the time, with the long queues and all.
Thankfully, I finally reached them via their helplines and after two days, my money was refunded and I was able to pay my brother too. #breathesin.
Now the problem is, after fixing the screen, I have been battling with my phone going off at 42%, I mean how come? When I try to charge it again, it begins from 0%, why is it that whenever we fix a gadget, it develops another fault, why can't this technician be competent enough or honest at least?
I tried to reach him to explain what is going on, at first, he asked me to come around, and he opened the phone and clipped the battery well, I thought everything will be fine, but nothing changed, it still went off at 38% or sometimes 42% now he keeps telling me he is not in the shop, he is at the market, ehn I will need to change my phone's battery and all sorts. All sort of silly response!
My phone's battery was in good condition before I went to fix the screen, now my screen is good but the battery keeps frustrating me, I feel like I've been played, maybe he changed the battery or something, ermm @moremoney28 I remember you are a phone technician, please do you have any advice for me? Or what do you think, it's affecting my productivity at my store and my presence in the hive, I could just be texting, and then the phone goes off, it's frustrating!!!
My phone is now on life support, using a Power bank to prevent it from going off at 42% and now there's a constant battle with a constant power supply, the power bank will so go off as there's not been a regular power supply, in my country if it rains, they use 4days to dry the wire๐๐๐๐, I mean they will intentionally not restore power supply, for reason best known to them and if I disconnect the power bank from my phone, it is good as dead, now I feel like screaming and crying!!!!
