Hi fellow Ranters,
Today I was thinking about the different divides people are on in life and how it affects others.
My Choice
Some of the things that are constantly being attacked and tried to remove is the individual choices we each have and can make for things. There are lots of those that one can probably think of an example for but some of the most important ones for us as a little family come around family itself.
There are benefits as well as risks when living in areas that have lots of rule encroaches on us. Plenty of examples of “I will be making this decision for you” type of crap that goes on. If it’s within my four walls of my home, it is my decision and nobody else has any ground to stand on besides my wife Siena. The little man certainly has plenty of say in it as well, and often voices his opinions lol. He’s already got lots of them let me tell you! There are some other examples that I can think of and can’t seem to word them without getting people triggered in this increasingly fragile environment of people not being able to understand that we are each individuals and have rights, human rights that cannot and should not be infringed upon under nearly any circumstance. Not talking at all about violence, it’s always peace first in my book. Leave me alone and I’ll be perfectly fine!
Listening to some podcasts from some of my favorite authors this past weekend while we were doing work and stuff really got me frustrated with how things are going in many of the big parts of the country, our area included. There’s so much infringing on peoples personal space going on it’s maddening. Crazy stuff going on in major cities that try to tear down and divide people apart from just being normal every day people, trying to break societies apart at whatever seam will give a little wiggle to it and they try to wrench it loose. At what point will the majority of the people that don’t give a hell about the vitriol that media constantly spews out, will they say enough is enough?
We are on the societal divide of people that want to be left the hell alone, don’t come to my space, don’t bring your ideals to my house and tell me I’m wrong, don’t even waste my time and come to my house at all. Stay where you are and just let me work, enjoy my family and live peacefully. Is that so much to ask lately? Your side of the ice will break and I may not save you if you keep pushing crap I don’t care about!
I know the grass isn’t always greener on the other side but I think we are looking forward to getting away from this type of stuff and living somewhere that people respect each other still and have basic morals and values. Is that a lot to ask for?! Lol
