Hello, dear Rant, Complain, Talk community, it is a pleasure to share with you this new post titled "when Lies Outweigh Truth”.
Over the past 20 years, I have noticed how our society seems to be in a constant backward slide. I know what I am about to mention below may make some people uncomfortable. In other communities, I would probably be silenced for talking about these issues, but here I appreciate the freedom we have to express our opinions, always with respect.
Hola, querida comunidad de Rant, Complain, Talk, es un placer compartir con ustedes este nuevo post titulado "Cuando la mentira supera a la verdad". Durante los últimos 20 años, he notado cómo nuestra sociedad parece estar en un constante retroceso. Sé que lo que voy a mencionar a continuación puede incomodar a algunos. En otras comunidades, probablemente me silenciarían por hablar de estos temas, pero aquí aprecio la libertad que tenemos para expresar nuestras opiniones, siempre con respeto.
A clear example of what I consider to be a problem was recently seen with Mrs. Beats, who financed boreholes for drinking water in Africa. What is striking about her action is that she achieved tangible results with an investment significantly less than the resources allocated to large organizations such as the United Nations or the World Health Organization. However, instead of being applauded for its positive impact, it was sued. The reason? It exposed the waste and inefficiency of these institutions, which often fail to deliver the expected results.
Un claro ejemplo de lo que considero un problema lo vimos hace poco con Mrs. Beats, quien financió perforaciones para obtener agua potable en África. Lo impactante de su acción es que logró resultados tangibles con una inversión significativamente menor que los recursos asignados a grandes organizaciones como la ONU o la OMS. Sin embargo, en lugar de ser aplaudido por su impacto positivo, fue demandado. ¿El motivo? Puso en evidencia el despilfarro y la ineficiencia de estas instituciones, que a menudo no ofrecen los resultados esperados.
Another clear example of squandering resources can be found in the Catholic Church. It is difficult to ignore the contrast between the luxury in which its leadership lives and the urgent needs of millions of people around the world. The gilded throne on which the Pope sits, the opulent vestments and the riches of the Vatican are an image that contrasts with the teachings of humility and service preached by Christ.
Even more troubling is the fact that the Institute for the Works of Religion - popularly known as the Vatican Bank - has been used by corrupt figures, such as Nicolás Maduro, to hide millionaire fortunes while in places like Africa, millions of children die of hunger every year.
This luxury and mismanagement of resources not only betrays the basic tenets of Christianity, but also does little to solve the real problems facing our humanity. It is outrageous to see how institutions with so much power and wealth, which could make a significant difference, choose to follow a path contrary to the teachings of Christ.
Otro ejemplo claro de despilfarro de recursos lo encontramos en la Iglesia Católica. Es difícil ignorar el contraste entre el lujo en el que vive su liderazgo y las necesidades urgentes de millones de personas en todo el mundo. El trono dorado donde se sienta el Papa, las vestimentas opulentas y las riquezas del Vaticano son una imagen que contrasta con las enseñanzas de humildad y servicio que predicó Cristo. Aún más preocupante es el hecho de que el Instituto para las Obras de Religión —conocido popularmente como el Banco Vaticano— ha sido utilizado por figuras corruptas, como Nicolás Maduro, para ocultar fortunas millonarias mientras en lugares como África, millones de niños mueren de hambre cada año. Este lujo y mal manejo de recursos no solo traicionan los principios básicos del cristianismo, sino que también hacen muy poco para solucionar los problemas reales que enfrenta nuestra humanidad. Es indignante ver cómo instituciones con tanto poder y riqueza, que podrían hacer un cambio significativo, deciden seguir un camino contrario a las enseñanzas de Cristo.
The greatest brazenness of how lies surpass the truth can be seen in the way in which many governments fill their mouths talking about human rights, but, in reality, they defend the interests of the criminals, not those of the victims. They are hypocrites who put on a blindfold when it is convenient.
Take the case of Venezuela, where the regime has proclaimed an electoral victory without presenting clear evidence, while the opposition, which has shown evidence of fraud, is constantly ignored or questioned by the international community. This demonstrates how governments align themselves with convenient narratives, ignoring the truth despite the evidence.
Another example can be found in El Salvador, with President Nayib Bukele. His policies, though controversial to some, have succeeded in reducing homicides to almost zero in a country once dominated by organized crime. However, the international community, instead of recognizing the tangible results, prefers to fight for the “rights” of the criminals he has incarcerated, ignoring the positive impact these measures have had on the lives of millions of Salvadorans.
It is sad to see how the rights of criminals seem to carry more weight than the rights of victims. The truth is clear, but those who should defend it prefer to hide it under a mask of “justice” that, in reality, only perpetuates impunity.
El descaro más grande de cómo la mentira supera a la verdad, lo vemos en la forma en que muchos gobiernos se llenan la boca hablando de derechos humanos, pero, en realidad, defienden los intereses de los criminales, no los de las víctimas. Son hipócritas que se ponen una venda en los ojos cuando conviene. Tomemos el caso de Venezuela, donde el régimen ha proclamado una victoria electoral sin presentar pruebas claras, mientras que la oposición, que ha mostrado evidencia de fraude, es constantemente ignorada o puesta en duda por la comunidad internacional. Aquí se demuestra cómo los gobiernos se alinean con narrativas convenientes, ignorando la verdad a pesar de la evidencia. Otro ejemplo lo encontramos en El Salvador, con el presidente Nayib Bukele. Sus políticas, aunque controvertidas para algunos, han logrado reducir casi a cero los homicidios en un país que antes era dominado por el crimen organizado. Sin embargo, la comunidad internacional, en lugar de reconocer los resultados tangibles, prefiere pelear por los "derechos" de los delincuentes que él ha encarcelado, ignorando el impacto positivo que estas medidas han tenido en la vida de millones de salvadoreños. Es triste ver cómo los derechos de los criminales parecen tener más peso que los derechos de las víctimas. La verdad es clara, pero aquellos que deberían defenderla prefieren ocultarla bajo una máscara de "justicia" que, en realidad, solo perpetúa la impunidad.
Finally, we cannot ignore how gender ideology, without any scientific basis, is idiotizing our society. It has reached a point where individual perception is considered more important than objective reality. They would have us believe that if a man perceives himself as a woman, we must automatically accept that he is one, completely ignoring the scientific and biological facts to the contrary.
A clear example of how far this madness has gone was seen in Ireland, where a teacher was imprisoned simply for refusing to teach content that contradicts biological reality. His “crime” was not aligning himself with this ideology, which seems to have more force than truth. Similarly, in Argentina, Enmanuel Danna was sued for not agreeing to call a man “woman”.
We are living in times in which lies surpass truth, in which those who question these absurdities are punished for the mere fact of defending reality. The risk is that, if we continue on this path, society will completely lose its ability to reason and to differentiate between what is truth and what is an imposed illusion.
Finalmente, no podemos ignorar cómo la ideología de género, sin ningún fundamento científico, está idiotizando a nuestra sociedad. Se ha llegado a un punto en el que la percepción individual se considera más importante que la realidad objetiva. Nos quieren hacer creer que si un hombre se percibe como mujer, automáticamente debemos aceptar que lo es, ignorando por completo los hechos científicos y biológicos que demuestran lo contrario. Un ejemplo claro de hasta dónde ha llegado esta locura lo vimos en Irlanda, donde un profesor fue encarcelado simplemente por negarse a enseñar contenidos que contradicen la realidad biológica. Su "crimen" fue no alinearse con esta ideología, que parece tener más fuerza que la verdad. Del mismo modo, en Argentina, Enmanuel Danna fue demandado por no acceder a llamar "mujer" a un hombre. Estamos viviendo tiempos en los que la mentira supera a la verdad, en los que quienes cuestionan estos absurdos son castigados por el solo hecho de defender la realidad. El riesgo está en que, si seguimos por este camino, la sociedad perderá completamente su capacidad de razonar y de diferenciar entre lo que es verdad y lo que es una ilusión impuesta.
