I am in sort of bother / trouble nowadays. My house hunting ended up at a nice well maintained home. The room was clean as compared to other building in the ares. The house owners already had the housewarming worship as per the tradition and rituals for purification. It has a new white wash and everything appears to be nice. When I visited the flat, I liked it and said yes to the owners for a year of agreement. I even paid some initial amount. It was a win-win situation for me untill I discover the dark secret or some of the facts about the flat,that the owner was trying to hide.
The objection
After the verbal agreement, I agreed to pay the remaining amount in 10 days, to which the owner was agreed. I did crossed check with him about the flats and the neighbours. He was very positive and said nice words for everyone except the immediate neighbour of the flat. He keep on insisting MD not to talk to them much. Which makes me little suspicious. The owner was not living in that flat and why he was asking me not to get close the neighbour.
The next day, he started to ask for the remaining amount citing some vague reason. Although, at the time of initial payment, I did took 10 days time. But his lame excuses raise more doubts. This made me to enquire about the flat. And I went straight to the lady that lives next to the flat - my immediate neighbour.
Meeting my neighbour
That lady appears to be nice and shared me the true facts about the flat. There was a girl who committed suicide at the same flat in Aug'24. Post the case the family living their sold it to the current owner and left tge place. He was familiar with all these reports. But never shared with me. The worshipping and rituals at the flat did raised my doubts earlier, but assuming it to be a common practices, I neglected the thought. Now the true facts made me to worry, as I do not consider to stay at such place. The lady further told that previously a boy did rented the flat but left within 15-20 days after getting some negative thoughts. This words further alerted me.
Trouble situation
Many people would consider me as coward who gets scared of the flats. But such houses are not considered good in our culture. At least for the one which had the recent case. I agree people have various argument regarding death at various places. I also know that the place where I am currently living is a more than 60 years old township. And every flat might have seen some death during their course of time. But this one is recent case which alerted me not to shift at this flat.
It was "not an haunted flat". But people do not like to shift to the place which has witness some misdeeds any mis-happening occurred. The owner fully aware of everything hided the true facts. He wanted to trick me by asking me the full amount and to avoid talking to the immediate neighbour. His intention was not right. I rejected the offer, soon for false details of the flat. The owner started convincing me through various way. The first thing he said that all the bad evils has been removed through the worship done at the place. Then there is nothing sort of negative energy lives in the place. Then, all these kind of things are rubbishes, as people dies in hospital, still people never cared about the bed or sheets that were used etc etc. But I get too rigid to listen anything. It was not about being scared. But just does not wanted to live in place where a suicide has happened few month ago. It is not considered auspicious.
My house hunting took an unexpected turn. As I alredy informed the present owner of vacating the place. And now backing off the new deal because of the issues, putting me in dicey situation. This is one of the frustrating phase that I have been dealing with. Last few days were very hectic. What would you have done, if you were offered one such house, will you shift.?
Do remember a home/ house is one such place where people alwsys seek peace and harmony. I doubt if I ever get these in real in such places.
