I am writing a quikc post, for a change, as I am busy cleaning two houses ( the one I have been house sitting since Mid December ) and a house upon the hill above the former (that I blogged about several times in the last two months).
I also plan to play a game of soccer in an hour or two with a bunch of friends (both adults and kids).
There is usually dogs, kids on skateboards, skates and bicycles on the field, adding some extra hurdles to the game.
It is a half an hour walk to that place through nature into the nearest village, so I should get back to finishing the cleaning of the house that I am leaving for good today.
Friends with two kids, who are on their way from The Netherlands to Portugal with a van plus trailer ( and a load of 7.5 tons! ), will probably arrive here tonight.
I already spent last night in the house on the hill. I can probably write a diary about the state it was in when the previous tenants handed it over to me days ago, but suffice to say that it is livable and that it can only improve from now on.
I am still on a borrowed laptop (of my twin sis) that needs to be plugged in all the time and my new house has no electricity as of yet. The solar system is not working, not even with back up power. An electrician will come over Monday afternoon.
Until then, it will be daylight and candlelight by night ( who wants to be my date? ).
The last three days or so, I have mainly spent cleaning ( one day with my twin sister, two days by myself ) and walking up and down the hill ( 3 minute walk but pretty steep ) moving stuff, charging phone, doing interent stuff, communicating loads with the owners of the house on the hill ( in the USA ) cooking and so on.
From tonight onward, after returning from the soccer field, I will focus on the house upon the hill alone. But first, I need to finish cleaning this place (almost there!) and then its soccer time!👣⚽️
To Be Continued...
And another twinsie... multiply the background by 10 and you get an idea of how amazing my view is!
