My Friday was busy! I worked until 5 like a maniac and then dashed off to a picnic with some girlfriends, which I wrote about last night. But I took a rare lunch break to go to one of my favorite grocery stores for prepared salads, so I would be prepared to go straight to the picnic after work.
The store is called Lund’s and Byerlys, and I only shop there when I’m feeling flush or just want some specialty items like the prepared salads. I find it too speedy for my regular shopping!
Let’s start with the flowers, in honor of the lovely @dswigle, host of #marketfriday! And she is #alwaysaflower!
I generally love the flower section of any store. But I was particularly enamored with the orchids on this particular day.
Because it is spring time, and everyone is placing color everywhere, they also had some lovely pots outside the store too.
This particular grocery store is well-appointed with all kinds of wonderful things other than groceries. If you need a gift or card, or perhaps a kitchen gadget, you can find what you need.
I love the bulk section. It’s a great way to buy things without purchasing more containers. In our house, we try to use re-usable containers as much as possible.
The produce section at this store was luscious! If you ever have someone who won’t eat fruits and veggies, take them here!
The other departments are great too — especially the deli area.
Don’t forget the bakery goods, treats and the coffee!
