When something within the body becomes hot, swollen or painful, this is the process of inflammation. The body does it to combat germs or helps one to heal when we are injured. However, the inflammation at other times does not leave the body soon enough. This may lead to issues. It also can be an illness. That type of illness is referred to as an inflammatory disease.
Inflammatory disease may alter the skin, the stomach, the joints and many other body parts. Lots of individuals have it and they are oblivious about it. They may appear as a minor issue at first sight, but they may advance in severity in the event that we disregard them.
Pain that lasts long is one of the indications of an inflammatory disease. When we hurt ourselves through falling or injuries, we all normally feel this pain until after some days. However, in an inflammatory illness, the pain may persist even through several months. It may be in the joints, the back, the knees or elsewhere.
Such pain could be periodical. There are occasions when it is more bad in the mornings. At other times, the region seems to be swollen or even hot. It is not a hurt pain. The body is what fights something within.
Yet another symptom is the constant feeling of exhaustion even when we sleep. I have experienced that. I woke up in the morning, I was still hooked. I did not do work but it made me feel tired. Such fatigue is abnormal. It may be an indication of inflammation in the body. When the body is struggling with something internal it burns a lot of the energy. This causes us to feel weak and sleepy. In case this persists over several days or weeks, we must visit a physician.
The body might also become hot due to inflammatory disease. It is not like malaria fever. It is a slight fever, and is recurring and returning. It happens that the body is hot during the afternoon or at night. There can also be sweating or chills, sometimes.
I recall the time when I was constantly feeling hot in the evenings. I believed that it was just tiredness but it persisted days on end. It was not malaria or typhoid. I later got to know it was due to inflammation. The presence of fever, which persists over time with no apparent cause could be an indication of an inflammatory illness.
Inflammation can also be also present in the skin. Rashes, redness or dry skin may occur. These may be rash-like eruptions and they can last and be intermittent. They may be painful, or itchy. They can also worsen during changes of the weather.
On one occasion, I had a rash on the arm, which did not respond to cream. The first time i used soap and oil, but it came back again and again. This type of rash may be an indication of inflammation. The skin may get the effect of the inflamed body.
They [inflammation] may also occur in the stomach or the intestine. This may result in belly pain, the running stomach or constipation. It is also accompanied by bloating or gas at times. These issues can continue for several weeks.
Whenever someone continuously has stomach trouble even when he/she is consuming good food, it is not just an ordinary stomach sickness. It can be caused by an inflammation of the stomach. Belly pains or bloody stools are also a severe symptom.
The eye is also a susceptible part of the body to inflammatory diseases. One can have red, painful or swollen eyes. Other times he or she may have poor vision or have an object appearing to be in the eye. This occurring in large numbers may be an indicator of inflammation.
I have witnessed individuals whose redness of the eyes does not dissolve despite the fact that they have used eye drops. It does not come out of dust or smoke. It is an inflammation within the body.
Others get to experience some weight loss despite them eating well. This may occur when we are battling against something within the body. The rate of energy used in the body becomes excessive and this causes the individual to lose weight quickly.
In case a person is not concentrating on losing weight yet continues to become smaller, this might indicate a health issue. Weight loss in this form can be occasioned by inflammatory illnesses.
Inflammation at times attacks the body nerves. This may result in numbness, tingling or so-called pin and needle in hands or in feet. It can also make one feel debilitated or lose capacity to hold stuff. It is a sign that is hard to notice yet worth noting. In the event that the hands or feet appear strange over a certain duration, one is supposed to visit the check up.
It could also influence the way we feel because of inflammation. There are individuals who can be either sad, angry, or confused without reason. They will not be able to enjoy things, as before. This may be due to having inflammation of the brain. There are instances that I have experienced a feeling of low and exhausting at all times. I was unaware that it had any relation with inflammation until I decided to do a check-up. We cannot ignore mental and emotional alterations either.
The sores or the dryness in the mouth may be attributable to inflammatory diseases. Mouth ulcers are common to some individuals. Others complain of dry mouth all the time and it does not change even when they are given water. These may seem minor signs but could be an indication of a larger problem. When a person experiences repeated mouth sores, then a doctor should be consulted.
Not all diseases are readily visible, where the inflammatory diseases are concerned. The symptoms may be minor or be indicative of ordinary illness. However it is not necessary to ignore the signs that last several days or even weeks. I have experienced some of these symptoms in the past, and I am certain that several other people have experienced the same. When we observe signs like these in our body it is better to get them checked up medically. The problem will be able to be prevented by the early treatment. Let us be serious with our health. Inflammation can be silent, however, it leaves an indication. We have to hear our body and act.
