If there is actually something I have come to understand about this our body system, it is the fact that the way it function will determine the good state of our health. If our body system is functioning in a negative way, it will affect our health negatively and if our body is functioning in a positive way, it will affect the body positively. One of the major thing that control the state of our health is our immune system.
I believe it is not a new world for many of us. The immune system serve as the major defence system in our body system against infections, against viruses and against any harmful invaders that we might want to have in our body system. But there are times our immune system even begins to attack our healthy cells instead of protecting them. This is what is called the autoimmunity which I will be talking about today.
Some people are suffering from autoimmune disorders which they are not even aware of. In this particular state, the immune system will not be able to know which one is the healthy cells and which one is the infection invaders and so the immune system will start attacking those cells that it should be protecting. Trust me, this attack can affect almost every aspect of our body including the blood.
When I was actually doing my own research, I was so curious and begin to wonder what actually causes the immune system to turn against the healthy cells it should be protecting. From my little discovery, it can ranges from genetics, from certain infections and environmental factors also can affect it. There are some viruses that make the immune system to start fighting the healthy cells and this autoimmune disorder I talked about is mostly common in women much more.
For someone reading this and you are wondering how will I know whether I have this disorder or not, there are actually some symptoms you can notice in your body at the stage when it starts manifesting. Sometimes the symptoms can come in form of skin rashes, sometimes it can actually come in form of fever and sometimes you might experience joint pain and inflammation. All of these things are symptoms of the disorder that if well noticed at the early stage can be treated before it becomes worse.
The most devastating thing about this autoimmune disorder recently now is the fact that it is not curable. Yes you heard it right, there is no cure for it now. But most of the time, it is always managed by lifestyle changes. You can either start some anti inflammatory medications or diet and exercise can actually help to suppress the effects but currently it does not have a cure.
I think a lot of people are suffering from this disorder and does not even know. This is what they need to know. There needs to be public Enlightenment about it at the early stage before it start claiming a lot of people's life much more. I strongly believe the earlier, the better it will certainly be for it.
