The swap station not only charges discharged modules, but also monitors the health of each battery, if any that are close to losing their maximum capacity, it issues an alert for preventive maintenance. The robot itself visually identifies the fully charged modules, using sensors on the head and an indicative green light on the set of stacked batteries. In addition, to ensure safety in complex environments and with people nearby, Walker S2 has a physical emergency button on its back and is ready to be activated in any abnormal situation.
