Mi nombre es Grace Finlay, y soy nueva en el barrio. Aunque es un sueño mudarse a Nueva York y Manhattan es realmente increíble, con todas sus luces y sitios memorables como el río Hudson, de verdad me siento muy extraña, en especial estando dentro de este nuevo apartamento, ya que si lo comparo con mi hogar anterior diría que este es todo lo contrario, porque aquí vive poca gente la cual es bien apática y cerrada, tampoco hay niños ni alegría así que si no necesitara este trabajo no me hubiese mudado para acá. Lo bueno es que trabajaré en una tienda que está frente al teatro Apollo, en donde me fijé que en estos días habrá un espectáculo de baile, y eso implica bastantes ensayos, así que supongo que pasaré tiempo agradable allá dando vistazos, ya que siempre ese tipo de cosas me han llamado la atención y lo bueno de trabajar en la acera del frente es que puedo salir a curiosear sin que lo noten.
En mi primer día de trabajo, antes de dirigirme a la tienda me dejé llevar por la curiosidad así que entré al teatro a dar un vistazo, el teatro por dentro es realmente hermoso y me llamó la atención el espectáculo que ensayan, vi a un gran grupo de bailarines danzando al ritmo de música navideña lo cual me preció agradable, pero al darme cuenta de que estaba por llegar tarde al trabajo decidí salir corriendo, pero en el camino me tropecé con el que me imagino es uno de sus bailarines, un chico más alto que yo y de contextura delgada y piel blanca, de cabello negro y ojos tristes de un color gris intenso. Me sonrió y me ayudó a levantarme, yo le dije que llevaba prisa, así que salí sin casi hablarle, aunque había notado los nervios que sentí al tocar su mano. Aunque me resulta imposible reconocer cuando llegará la persona destinada a alborotar mis emociones, me han contado que cuando llega escuchas algo así como una música en tu cabeza y empiezas a sentirte rara de repente, y creo que es verdad, ya que sin darme cuenta me empecé a sentir así por aquel misterioso chico, que quien sabe si volveré a ver siquiera. Seguí mi camino hacia la tienda sin prestar mucha atención a mis pensamientos.
Cuando salí a almorzar, noté su presencia en la acera del frente, lo miré y estaba parado en la puerta del teatro conversando con otro chico totalmente contrario a él, de piel morena y cabello rizado alborotado, ambos estaban vestidos de negro, así que mis sospechas eran ciertas, él es uno de los artistas del espectáculo que ensayan ahí, al verme me sonrió y saludó con la mano, yo le devolví el saludo y él me hizo señas de que fuese hacía allá así que no me pude negar. Al llegar lo saludé y nos presentamos, su nombre es Andrew Gutiérrez, conversamos un rato para conocernos, me comentó que es hijo de latinos y que estaba muy emocionado por poder hacer su sueño realidad de actuar finalmente aquí. Cuando me di cuenta, ya estábamos conversando con la confianza como si nos conociéramos de años y antes de irme, me regaló una entrada para el espectáculo que tendría lugar en una semana, también me invitó a cenar hoy y me tentó la idea, pero luego me sentí extraña cuando me dijo que cenáramos aquí mismo dentro del teatro, aunque me fue imposible rechazarlo así que al terminar de trabajar tendré que venir para acá.
Estaba un poco nerviosa al principio, ya que me resultaba muy extraño que insistiera en vernos dentro del teatro. Al entrar, estaba todo oscuro, pero de repente a mi lado apareció Andrew, y aunque al principio me asustó me alegré de verlo, encendió un camino de luces que guiaban directo al escenario y me llevó de la mano hasta allá. Una vez en la tarima me confesó que realmente no es una cena, sino que me quiso invitar porque quería bailar conmigo y aunque yo le dije que no sabía bailar, me tomó y me acercó a él, puso una mano en mi cadera y con la otra tomó la mía y aunque fue algo difícil al principio por nuestras diferencias de estatura al poco tiempo ya lo estaba disfrutando. No tenía idea si realmente estaba soñando, ya que nadie se imaginaría vivir algo así prácticamente llegando a un nuevo lugar, y tampoco sabía si este chico realmente era un loco en potencia, violador, o asesino serial, y yo estaba por ser una de sus víctimas. Aunque tenía una sensación de escalofríos me dejé llevar porque este hombre me resultaba misteriosamente adictivo, más cuando me miraba con esos ojos vidriosos directamente a los míos y aunque sentí que las luces se apagaron parecía haber más luz que de costumbre aunque seguro era mi imaginación. Pasadas las 8 de la noche, me despedí de él y me dirigí a mi apartamento. Andrew decidió quedarse en el teatro cuando lo invité a tomarnos un helado, alegando que tenía que hacer unas cosas antes de cerrar, así que decidí no cuestionarlo. Acordamos hacer de esto nuestra rutina, una vez terminen los ensayos y los demás artistas salgan del teatro, y yo saliera del trabajo, y conforme pasaban los días me fui acostumbrando a él y dejé de sentir temor.
A medida que pasaban los días nuestras citas de baile se fueron haciendo más intensas y las fui deseando más, no me explicaba porque cada vez que se iba acercando la hora de vernos sentía más la necesidad de ponerme el vestido rojo que tanto le gusta y balancearme entre sus brazos mientras bailamos. Yo nunca me hubiese imaginado que me iba a pasar algo así con alguien que acabo de conocer pero eso no se busca ni se decide, y aunque me gustaría verlo también durante el almuerzo el se ha estado negando estos días, pero lo entendí al decirme que los ensayos habían aumentado porque se acerca el evento. En un abrir y cerrar de ojos pasó una semana y en nuestra última cita un día antes del estreno, me encontraba muy triste porque ya me había dicho que luego tendría que irse y el único impulso que sentí al escuchar esto, fue el de poner mis brazos alrededor de su cuello atraerlo hacía mi para besarlo con fuerza. Al apartarnos me regaló una sonrisa, y me dijo que si estaría dispuesta a irme con él una vez acabara el espectáculo, y por impulso contesté que sí, así que me sonrió de nuevo, y esta vez me atrajo hacia él y me besó con más fuerza que antes, para así sellar nuestro pacto.
Finalmente, llegó el día del espectáculo y yo pude asistir haciendo uso de la entrada que Andrew me regaló e intente verlo antes de que empezara el show, pero fue imposible. Disfruté del espectáculo navideño, el cual presentaron como abreboca a la temporada la cual estaba por arrancar, fue realmente lindo disfrutar de "El expreso de Navidad" en la que los bailarines bailaron vestidos de duendes ayudantes de Santa con otros personajes como Santa y el conductor del expreso. Fue más o menos una hora de espectáculo y cuando finalmente acabó, inexplicablemente mi corazón latió con más fuerza ya que se acercaba el momento de volver a verlo, pero de un momento a otro todo cambiaría porque cuando noté que no estaba pregunté por él a una de las bailarinas, la cual se horrorizó al escucharme y me comentó que el que conozca a Andrew es realmente imposible porque había fallecido hace un año debido a un accidente ocurrido en la tarima. Yo horrorizada quise salir corriendo, ya que no lo podía creerlo pero, al llegar a la entrada, Andrew volvió a aparecer frente a mis ojos con un gran cuchillo en las manos, esta vez sus ojos grises estaban de un color rojo intenso y yo me paralicé casi al instante. Sin dejarme hablar me atrajo hacia él y solamente me dijo "tenemos un pacto" antes de que todo a mi alrededor se llenara de oscuridad y sintiera a mi corazón explotar. Me desmayé al sentir como ese filoso cuchillo traspasaba mi corazón, y mientras mi cuerpo se bañaba de sangre y yo dejaba de existir, pude sentir como Andrew se llevaba mi alma lentamente.

On my first day at work, before going to the store I got carried away by curiosity so I went into the theater to take a look, the theater inside is really beautiful and the show they rehearse caught my attention, I saw a great group of dancers dancing to the rhythm of Christmas music which I found pleasant, but when I realized that I was about to be late for work I decided to run, but on the way I bumped into what I imagine is one of their dancers, a boy taller than me and with a thin build and white skin, black hair and sad eyes of an intense gray color. He smiled at me and helped me up, I told him that I was in a hurry, so I went out almost without speaking to him, although I had noticed the nerves I felt when I touched his hand. Although it is impossible for me to recognize when the person destined to stir up my emotions will arrive, I have been told that when he arrives you hear something like music in your head and you suddenly start to feel strange, and I think it is true, since without realizing it I I started to feel like that for that mysterious boy, who knows if I'll even see him again. I continued on my way to the store without paying much attention to my thoughts.
When I went out for lunch, I noticed his presence on the sidewalk in front, I looked at him and he was standing at the door of the theater talking to another guy who was totally the opposite of him, with brown skin and messy curly hair, both were dressed in black, so my My suspicions were true, he is one of the performers who rehearse there, when he saw me he smiled and waved, I returned the greeting and he waved me over there so I couldn't refuse. When I arrived I greeted him and we introduced ourselves, his name is Andrew Gutiérrez, we talked for a while to get to know each other, he told me that he is the son of Latinos and that he was very excited to be able to make his dream of finally performing here come true. When I realized, we were already chatting with confidence as if we had known each other for years and before I left, he gave me a ticket for the show that would take place in a week, he also invited me to dinner today and I was tempted by the idea, but then I felt strange when he told me to have dinner right here inside the theater, although it was impossible for me to refuse him so when I finished work I'll have to come here.
I was a little nervous at first, as it was very strange to me that he insisted on seeing us inside the theater. When I entered, it was all dark, but suddenly Andrew appeared next to me, and although he scared me at first I was happy to see him, he turned on a path of lights that led directly to the stage and led me by the hand up there. Once on the stage, he confessed to me that it wasn't really a dinner party, but rather that he wanted to invite me because he wanted to dance with me and even though I told him that I didn't know how to dance, he took me and brought me closer to him, he put a hand on my hip and with his another took mine and although it was somewhat difficult at first due to our height differences, soon after I was enjoying it. I had no idea if I was really dreaming, since no one would imagine living through something like that practically arriving in a new place, and I also didn't know if this guy really was a potential lunatic, rapist, or serial killer, and I was about to be one of his victims. Although I had a feeling of chills, I let myself be carried away because this man was mysteriously addictive to me, especially when he looked at me with those glazed eyes directly into mine and although I felt that the lights went out, there seemed to be more light than usual, although it was surely my imagination. After 8 pm, I said goodbye to him and went to my apartment. Andrew decided to stay in the theater when I invited him for ice cream, claiming that he had some things to do before closing, so I decided not to question him. We agreed to make this our routine, once rehearsals are over and the other artists leave the theater, and I leave work, and as the days went by I got used to it and stopped feeling afraid.
As the days went by our dance dates became more intense and I wanted them more, I couldn't explain why every time the time to see each other got closer I felt the need to put on the red dress that he likes so much and swing in his arms while we dance. I would never have imagined that something like this would happen to me with someone I just met but that is not sought or decided, and although I would also like to see him during lunch, he has been refusing these days, but I understood him when he told me that rehearsals had increased because the event is approaching. In the blink of an eye, a week passed and on our last date, one day before the premiere, I was very sad because he had already told me that he would have to leave later and the only impulse I felt when I heard this was to put my arms around his neck pull him towards me to kiss him hard. As we parted he gave me a smile, and asked me if I would be willing to go with him once the show was over, and on impulse I answered yes, so he smiled at me again, and this time he pulled me towards him and kissed me more strength than before, in order to seal our pact.
Finally, the day of the show arrived and I was able to attend using the ticket that Andrew gave me and I tried to see it before the show started, but it was impossible. I enjoyed the Christmas show, which they presented as an appetizer to the season which was about to start, it was really nice to enjoy "The Christmas Express" in which the dancers danced dressed as Santa's helper elves with other characters such as Santa and the driver of the express. It was more or less an hour of the show and when it finally ended, my heart inexplicably beat harder as the time to see him again was approaching, but from one moment to the next everything would change because when I noticed that he wasn't there I asked someone for him. of the dancers, who was horrified to hear me and told me that knowing Andrew is really impossible because he had passed away a year ago due to an accident on stage. Horrified, I wanted to run away, since I couldn't believe it, but upon reaching the entrance, Andrew reappeared in front of my eyes with a large knife in his hands, this time his gray eyes were an intense red color and I was shocked. I stopped almost instantly. Without letting me speak, he pulled me towards him and only said "we have a pact" before everything around me was filled with darkness and I felt my heart explode. I fainted when I felt how that sharp knife pierced my heart, and while my body was bathed in blood and I ceased to exist, I could feel Andrew slowly taking my soul away.
