Todo esto empezó con el dolor de la perdida de un amigo y compañero, hace dos años, mi vida tuvo un giro inesperado por completo cuando mi amigo y fiel compañero, Blacky, desapareció. Desde ese momento vivo con el dolor en el alma con su ausencia y a veces con solo recordar ese momento o incluso al hacer este post, me dan ganas de llorar, pero hoy, este dolor podría sanarse tras haberme encontrado con un perro que se parece tanto a él. Y aun me pregunto ¿Sera posible que Blacky haya vuelto a casa? Y ahora escuchen esta historia sobre el cariño que le tengo a mi mascota Blacky y disfruten.
It all started with the pain of the loss of a friend and companion. Two years ago, my life took a completely unexpected turn when my friend and faithful companion, Blacky, disappeared. Since then, I live with the pain in my soul due to his absence and sometimes just remembering that moment or even writing this post makes me want to cry, but today, this pain could be healed after having met a dog that looks so much like him. Como toda historia empieza fue el día en que Blacky llego a mi vida, era el año 2015 el día 8 de agosto, yo tenía en ese momento 11 años y regresaba de la escuela en el auto con mi mamá y mi hermana. Estaba distraído jugando con mi Tablet, yo como todo niño inocente no sabia con el tiempo que recorríamos el camino iba a pasar algo increíble que no esperaba que pasara. Mi mamá había recogido una caja de un lugar, pero yo ni me daba cuenta de esto estaba entretenido jugando. El sonido de la caja estaba un cachorro llorando y se escuchaba dentro del auto, y mi hermanita, tan inocente, exclamo: “¡Un perrito!”. Sin embargo, mi mamá subió el volumen de la radio para que no se escuchara y distraernos para que no nos diéramos cuenta.
As every story begins, it was the day that Blacky came into my life. It was the year 2015, on August 8th. I was 11 years old at the time and I was returning from school in the car with my mom and sister. I was distracted playing with my tablet. Like any innocent child, I didn't know that as we drove along the road, something incredible was going to happen that I didn't expect to happen. My mom had picked up a box from somewhere, but I didn't even realize this, I was busy playing. The sound of the box was a puppy crying and could be heard inside the car, and my little sister, so innocent, exclaimed: "A puppy!" However, my mom turned up the volume on the radio so that it wouldn't be heard and distract us so that we wouldn't notice.
Habíamos llegado a la casa de mi abuela, entre primero y me fui a descansar a mi habitación, como siempre que íbamos a su casa. Después de un rato, mi mamá llego con la caja y la abrió. Lo que vi me dejo sin palabras: un cachorrito de pelaje negro con manchas blancas en la patas, el pecho y el hocico, además de una pequeña mancha blanca en la frente. We had arrived at my grandmother's house. I went in first and went to rest in my room, as always when we went to her house. After a while, my mother arrived with the box and opened it. The next day we were at my house, and my family started to discuss what to name him, but we had options like Teddy, Boby, Duke, Jack, and Blacky, and I finally settled on the latter. His dark fur and cuteness made “Blacky” the perfect name for him, and that’s how his story in my family begins.
Aquí Blacky, él se volvió el compañero perfecto de la familia, el cada día rápidamente se volvió parte esencial de mi familia. Era un perro cariñoso, juguetón, y sobre todo muy obediente. No importaba si llegaban familiares, vecinos o extraños, el siempre se comporto de manera amigable y nunca mostro señales de agresividad. Blacky la tenia algo especial que sabia como entretenerse solo cuando lo dejábamos solo en la casa cuando me iba a la escuela y mi madre al trabajo, se quedaba jugando con su propia cama y con su pelota, lo que hacia que nunca estuviera estresado y se mantenía contento.
Here Blacky, he became the perfect family companion, he quickly became an essential part of my family every day. He was an affectionate, playful, and above all very obedient dog. It didn't matter if relatives, neighbors or strangers came, he always behaved in a friendly manner and never showed signs of aggression. Blacky had something special in that he knew how to entertain himself when we left him alone at home when I went to school and my mother went to work, he stayed playing with his own bed and with his ball, which made him never get stressed and he stayed happy.
Con el tiempo, el cuerpo de Blacky se fue desarrollando y se volvió muy musculoso por el ejercicio que siempre hacia al salir a la calle, las patas estaban bien tonificadas y la cola ni digamos era como pegar con una madera. Cuando llegaban los días que teníamos que viajar y no teníamos la posibilidad de llevarlo, mis tíos se encargaban de cuidarlo y el día que volvíamos a casa lo encontrábamos muy feliz cuando nos veía. En cada cumpleaños, especialmente el de 19 de mayo, Blacky fue mi compañero más fiel, siempre a mi lado, me llamaba de alegría y felicidad.
Over time, Blacky's body developed and became very muscular due to the exercise he always did when he went out. His legs were well toned and his tail was like hitting a piece of wood. When the days came when we had to travel and we didn't have the possibility of taking him, my uncles took care of him and the day we returned home we found him very happy when he saw us. On every birthday, especially on May 19, Blacky was my most faithful companion, always by my side, calling me with joy and happiness.
Algo curioso de el es que mi padre le había enseñado algo especial, cuando Blacky necesitaba salir a hacer sus necesidades, el iba a buscarme a mi habitación y o el lugar donde estuviera, ya que la sabia exactamente lo que yo tenía que hacer. La inteligencia que tenía Blacky y la capacidad de aprender hicieron que el vínculo con el fuera único.
Something curious about him is that my father had taught him something special, when Blacky needed to go out to do his business, he would go look for me in my room or wherever I was, since he knew exactly what I had to do. Blacky's intelligence and ability to learn made the bond with him unique.
Ahora llega el momento mas triste que me paso, el día que todo cambio cuando desapareció de mi vida, era el 2020 el 9 agosto. Yo ahí tenia 16 años y estaba en la casa de mi abuela. Mis padres estaban en la casa, y como siempre mi padre saco a mi padre a la calle para que hiciera sus necesidades. Blacky estaba ya acostumbrado a salir solo y volver a la casa por su cuenta. Pero en ese momento algo cambio y para mi padre aun le duele recordarlo, mi padre había recibido una llamada telefónica y, distraído, cero la puerta de la casa sin recordar que Blacky seguía afuera. Mi perro era obediente como siempre, se quedo esperando en la puerta, pero el momento que mi padre termino la llamada se acordó que Blacky se quedó afuera y abrió la puerta y no estaba ahí, mi padre lo busco por todo el sector donde vivíamos y no lo encontró. Alguien se lo había llevado.
Now comes the saddest moment that happened to me, the day everything changed when he disappeared from my life, it was 2020, August 9. I was 16 years old and I was at my grandmother's house. My parents were at home, and as always my father took my father out to the street to do his business. Blacky was already used to going out alone and returning home on his own. But at that moment something changed and it still hurts my father to remember it, my father had received a phone call and, distracted, he closed the door of the house without remembering that Blacky was still outside. My dog was obedient as always, he stayed waiting at the door, but the moment my father ended the call he remembered that Blacky was left outside and opened the door and he was not there, my father looked for him all over the area where we lived and did not find him. Someone had taken him.
En ese momento fue la ultima vez que lo habíamos visto. La tristeza que había sentido era indescriptible estaba sufriendo. Pasaron días y cada vez que miraba la cama del vacía o recordar su presencia en la casa, siempre tengo la esperanza de que el regresara y eso actualmente sigue viviendo en mí.
At that moment was the last time we had seen him. The sadness I had felt was indescribable, I was suffering. Days passed and every time I looked at the empty bed or remembered his presence in the house, I always had the hope that he would return and that still lives in me today.
Pasaron los años y siempre tengo la noción de tener ese reencuentro inesperadamente y haciéndome la pregunta ¿Sera Blacky?, era 2021 el día de 4 de junio, en ese año ya habían pasado 301 días de que desapareció. Aun con el tiempo la tristeza aún vivía con su ausencia en la casa, y aunque la amiga de mi mamá nos dio una esperanza al predecir una fecha en que posiblemente volvería a nuestras vidas, llego esa fecha y Blacky nunca apareció. En la casa aun guardamos su ropa, aun teniendo la esperanza de que vuelva a casa.
Years went by and I always have the notion of having that unexpected reunion and asking myself the question: Is it Blacky? It was 2021, June 4th, in that year it had already been 301 days since he disappeared. Even with time, the sadness still lived with his absence in the house, and although my mother's friend gave us hope by predicting a date when he would possibly return to our lives, that date arrived and Blacky never appeared. We still keep his clothes in the house, still hoping that he will come home.
Actualmente en el 2024, mientras le hacia un mandado a mi madre, ocurrió algo inesperado y me llego un Deja Vu. Me cruce con perro muy parecido a Blacky. Me quede un buen rato observándolo por mucho rato, tratando de identificar todos los detalles que él tenía. Le había sacado una foto, y se la mostré a mis padres, su reacción quedó sorprendidos, ambos pensaban que posiblemente sea nuestro Blacky.
Currently in 2024, while I was running an errand for my mother, something unexpected happened and I got a deja vu. I came across a dog that looked very similar to Blacky. I spent a long time observing him, trying to identify all the details he had. I had taken a photo of him, and I showed it to my parents, their reaction was surprised, they both thought that he was possibly our Blacky.

Ahora con lo que vi ando buscando a ese perro, aun teniendo la esperanza en tener ese reencuentro definitivo, lo que ahora tengo que hacer es llevarlo al veterinario y verificar si tiene el chip para identificarlo. Solo entonces sabremos con certeza si es nuestro perro Blacky, el amigo y compañero que perdí hace 2 años.
Now, with what I saw, I am looking for that dog, even though I still have the hope of having that definitive reunion, what I now have to do is take him to the vet and check if he has the chip to identify him. Only then will we know for sure if he is our dog Blacky, the friend and companion I lost 2 years ago.
Mi familia y yo, sobre todo por mí, que estaríamos felices si realmente es el y que haya vuelto a casa. Blacky siempre fue mas que una mascota, fue mi amigo, mi confidente, mi compañero de vida. Este reencuentro significaría cerrar el ciclo de tanta tristeza y de esperanza, pero sobre todo llegar al final feliz de mi vida a la historia que nunca quise que terminara en perdida.
My family and I, especially for myself, would be happy if it really is him and that he has returned home. Blacky was always more than a pet, he was my friend, my confidant, my life partner.
