El día de ayer mi esposo me pide el favor de que lo acompañe a una finca a las afueras del pueblo donde vivimos, se dirigia hasta allá a buscar unas pacas de pasto para darle de comer a el ganado, a lo cual acudí ya que me encanta ir al campo y en esta ocasión conocería un lugar del cual siempre habia sentido la curiosidad por conocer. Se trata de una finca inmensa que se puede apreciar desde la carretera nacional, me hubiera gustado compartirles fotos del lugar pero decidí no tomar ninguna para evitar que los dueños se molestarán.
En ese lugar se encontraban muchísimos animales, pero solo uno llamó toda mi atención, mi intriga y curiosidad, tanto así que pedí permiso para sacarle unas fotos.
Yesterday my husband asked me the favor of accompanying him to a farm on the outskirts of the town where we live, he was going there to get some bales of grass to feed the cattle, to which I went because I love going to the countryside and this time I would know a place of which I had always been curious to know. It is a huge farm that can be seen from the national road, I would have liked to share photos of the place but I decided not to take any to avoid the owners would be upset.
In that place there were many animals, but only one caught my attention, my intrigue and curiosity, so much so that I asked permission to take some pictures.
Se trataba de un pony, una especie de animal que por estás zonas no es común, incluso creo que un 90% de la población no ha visto alguno y esto lo comento porque a muchos de mis conocidos les conté que conocí uno tan cerca y se sorprendieron al igual que yo de que por aquí existan.
It was a pony, a kind of animal that is not common in these areas, even I think that 90% of the population has not seen one and I say this because I told many of my acquaintances that I met one so close and they were surprised as I was that they exist here.
Luego de apreciarlo y sacarle algunas fotos mi intriga fue tanta que me fui a la web a investigar más sobre esta especie para así poder compartirles a ustedes mi experiencia.
A simple evaluación física pude notar que se trata de algo parecido a un caballo con enanismo, debido a su grande cabeza, su larga espalda, sus patas cortas y una altura que no pasa de 1,50 metros, algo que también pude notar en este, que le faltaba un ojo, por suposición mía quizás lo perdió por alguna picadura de un insecto o una pelea, aunque según leí también en la web son animales con carácter apacible tanto así que atraen a las personas en especial los niños, así que no creo tanto que haya sido en una pelea.
After appreciating it and taking some pictures of it, I was so intrigued that I went to the web to investigate more about this species in order to share my experience with you.
At a simple physical evaluation I could notice that it is something similar to a horse with dwarfism, due to its big head, its long back, its short legs and a height that does not exceed 1.50 meters, something that I could also notice in this one, that it was missing an eye, by my guess maybe it lost it by an insect bite or a fight, although according to what I also read on the web they are animals with a gentle character so much so that they attract people especially children, so I do not believe so much that it was in a fight.
Se dice que son el origen de los caballos comunes que quizas todos conocemos, es decir, los primeros caballos que existieron eran pony, tenían esas mismas características hasta que, mediante la cría planificada se realizaron cruces para así permitir que estos animales alcanzarán una mayor altura, llegándose asi a los tamaños de caballos que hoy conocemos, y considerandose ellos, los mejores y más valorados.
