Wow! It’s been a busy few weeks! The shop has been insane while being smacked with being short handed. With the weather changing quickly, the need to spruce up the dumpy winter yard is in full gear. Visitation for my mom has opened back up at the health care/assisted living facility she’s been in. Kids. Pets. Wife. Bills. It’s just been full steam ahead which is the main reason I’ve had to take a backseat to my stomping grounds here. Hoping to be back in the groove soon. But there is some good news I wanted to share with you all here.
My pup Maya is turning 12 this Friday! We also just took a trip to the vet to get updated on shots and an overall checkup. Seems Maya received high ratings and is in top top shape! Pretty much everything is in line. She’s had a slight heart murmur, but it seems to be fine as it’s always been. One of my boys Kitano had one as well that never was an issue. Regardless, I’m just trying to take a minute to state how grateful I am for that positive visit.
I figured she was as besides becoming a more chill dog overall from her younger high strung years, she seems great! Still playful and talkative. Excited to come with me to work a couple days a week where she’s doted on by guests all day. Eats and drinks perfectly. She’s loyal, fun, and makes me laugh daily. She’s one of my rocks in life and has provided a great connection and need, at a point where I was and still am to some degree...highly vulnerable.
So I’m just taking a minute to give some thanks to the lucky powers of the cosmos presiding over our lives...thanks for some really good news that involves one of the most treasured aspects of my life. Cheers to your brothers (Bandit, Kitano) and sister (Bindi) who we miss daily.
Back in the groove soon folks! Go give your companions a big hug filled with love, from us.
