Este pequeño perrito de pelo largo tiene una personalidad que sobrepasa su tamaño. Vive en una finca, en la cual nació, junto a tres hermanos y es el primero que sale a ladrar cada vez que huele a un forastero acercarse. En las noches, parece que monta un espectáculo de banda de rock con sus ladridos… y es que el silencio es tan puro en el campo que cualquier búho, cuyi o lagartija causa un escándalo.

A Cachito le gusta acompañar al tractor en las mañanas, internándose entre los parrales y jugando a cazar ratas. Es un excelente cazador, y nos ha traído varias y se ha comido unas cuantas también. Parecen ser su delicia. Aunque a nosotros no nos guste mucho que las coma y siempre lo retamos.
