Hello Hiveans! I hope that everything is fine and chill on your end this nice, quiet, peaceful weekend. I slept early last night and woke up early this morning to do my 🌄 stuff so all good in my corner of the universe.
I was talking with a friend the other day about stories and film structure. We are both passionate about film and stories, and our chats almost always, eventually end up in this rabbit hole. Our discussion got me thingking about my latest to-watch choices I've made. You see, I decided that I preferred watching foreign films and TV shows versus those locally made, even if I have friends in the industry, because of some bad Filipino movies that I've seen a long time ago. I have since made a turnaround after having watched some good Filipino movies and TV series; I am now a convert because of the elevated quality. It's an interesting story in itself but I didn't want to go there now so that blog is going to be for another day. Today's blog post is just a short, light-hearted life update. 😃
Having gotten up from bed earlier than what I'm used to gave me some extra time to reflect, freewrite and bring out some creative tension. I love quiet moments. It calms my mind and helps me to get settled; to dig deeper into my soul and bring out the inner peace that we all have. We just need to find it from time-to-time. And even if there is chaos everywhere, one can still be cool and serene on the inside once we are able to connect to the innate peace that we have always had - since we've arrived into this earthly existence. 🙏😌

I ate the Dark Walnut Cookie, which I brought home from the coffee shop that I recently discovered nearby and it was amazing. I will have to rate it as a 9/10. It was that good. I will have to go back and try it again just to check if it wasn't a fluke. I am not a big cookie fan, but this one really got me excited to get it one more time.
Intense doggo wants to communicate something important...

This is Batik. She is a stray dog that my wife let's in her office regularly. She recently gave birth to some cute puppies who are now a few weeks old. Two pups have yet to be adopted from the litter of puppies.
So my wife attended an out-of-town seminar and got this photo taken when she returned to the office. Batik looked like she was trying to communicate something serious and important that I found very endearing. Her serious demeanor and piercing gaze might look menacing to those who don't know her but she is a sweet doggo. What was she trying to say here? Any idea? 😄

That's it for today's blog post. Wishing everyone a good, solid weekend with family and friends or just to take the time out for yourself. Have fun, go to the gym, go to a church service. Whatever it is, you do you. You are entitled to a good life because you are a good person. 🐶
Love and peace.
