Have you ever heard about "pamaton" or taking care of a farm animal that is not yours and there will be an agreement between the two parties involved? It's either dividing or alternately owning the kid (baby goat) or selling it and then dividing the money after months or years of taking care of it.
We had our goats before, but then some things happened. I will be busy with my studies and my mother too will be busy waiting for my baby brother at school. So, it's crucial to have a goat because we can't take care of them properly. After 2 months of not having any goats, we decided to have a goat again. But we didn't buy any goats, we just asked one of our neighbors who has plenty of goats and is known to be "magpabaton" if it's okay for us to take good care of one of their goats.
Here's the agreement:
- If Mony will have an only baby for her first pregnancy it will be ours. That's why we had our goat now Eufy the first born.
- The second born will be their goat and that is Pubs.
- If Mony's pregnancy came out to be twins we will divide the kids.
It was almost 5 in the morning of May 2 when Mama woke me up and said Mony was about to give birth. I instantly got up even if I felt dizzy when I did it. I ran outside and then I saw Mony, she was in pain and couldn't stay in one place, she'd stand up and then lay down and stand up again and again. I got nervous because she's louder now than giving birth to her first baby goat Eufy. She screams in pain and I'm so scared what if something bad happens to her? I was overthinking but thank God Mony and her baby are both okay.
I am usually the one who will put the fabric on the newborn baby, while my mother will be the one to slowly pull and help Mony to get the goaty out. Because of my overthinking mind, I wasn't able to do my task, because I was overthinking why was she's loud now that this was already her second baby. But then, my auntie said that this second born was bigger than Eufy.
I named her "Pubs short for Paby" because she's a healthy baby girl, and "Pab" is the first 3 letters of the real owner and the one who will have Pubs. We help Mony wipe her baby and when Pubs hair dries we put some oil on her.
It didn't take a day before Pubs stood up. She's very healthy and she's able to stand up and walk after hours of being born. She recognized me already and cried hard when she saw me and when I went to her she went silent and slept close to my lap. She's one of the earliest newly born goats to walk properly, able to run after a couple of hours.
We helped Pubs to find her mother's milk and it didn't take long for her to find it herself.

Pubs love to stick her tongue out and breathe like a dog because of the heat. I was laughing but at the same time worried so I put some water on her body to prevent some serious problems.
Pubs love to sleep in a secluded or something hidden and cold place. She loves to hide to sleep, like under the big stone. Pubs also love to sleep on my lap while I am sitting straight from the ground.
Pubs is a very independent goat she doesn't want to be carried, she wants to walk on her own, and loves to jump and run.
Pubs is very adventurous and curious that even if she hurt herself she'd do what she wants. She wants to climb whether it's a coconut, a tree, on my back, or a stone.
She loves to smell the stone or maybe feel the stone. I'm not sure but she does this every time she sees some stones formed like what is shown in the pictures.
Pubs is starting to try eating grass, and she even tasted the soil (what?!) and licked the stone, weird!
Pubs is so funny when she had her first drink of water, she coughed because she dipped her mouth deep making the water reach to her nose.
Pubs is a brave goat, she fights with the goats older than her HAHAHA
Pubs is so sweet sucking my fingers maybe she thought it was her mother's milk.
Pubs licked my nose and I let her because her eyes were pleading.
Pubs loves to climb on my back like she's gonna backflip or whatsoever HAHAHA. She sometimes wants to be touched but most of the time enjoying her freedom.
Pubs is being protected by the older goats Shanly, Eufy and Mony her mother. Yes, they fight sometimes but they don't let other goats bully her. All my goats get along very well, Pubs would even come along with Shanly and Eufy leaving their mother alone.
I used to take pictures and videos of my pets. I love to keep the memory of them because I know they only have a shorter life than us. I easily get attached to them and I badly hurt, cries a lot when they left me.
Pubs is just my temporary pet because soon she will be handed over to the owner. But, I told my mother if she can ask the owner if we can just buy Pubs so she can stay with us. Yes, I know there's a verbal agreement, but I'm hoping they will agree. If not, then we'll just wait when they will sell Pubs so we can buy her huhuhu and Mony as well.
