Wow.. A couple of days ago, while I was looking at my tortoise, I suddenly remembered that it's been a while I've posted an update on my tortoise. In a couple of days, my Sulcata would have been with me for a year. I got him on the 31st of August. It is quite a big Sulcata now.
A year ago, it weigh 42 grams and today, it weights 346 grams.
My Sulcata next to my Red Foot
I got my red food somewhere in April. Red Foot tortoise are easier to take care because they are like normal tortoises. A couple of months ago, they were about the same size but the Sulcata has outgrown the red foot quite a bit here.
They are both heavy eaters
Both of them used to eat only a couple of pellets a day. Now it's at least 15 pellets. The Sulcata eats like a bulldozer. They have gotten to like each other.
April 2022
This was them. I haven't given them names because I am not sure what their genders are yet. Only at a later date, then I'll be able to check their shell and see if it's a male or female.
Them in April
They were about the same size and the Sulcata was just growing. Red Foot's shell hadn't split yet. It's shell has now become darker splitting plates of the shell further apart.
The Sulcata when it came to my house
Such a tiny shy little one. At this time, it isn't shy anymore. It has huge poop too. I wonder how big my Sulcata and Red foot are gonna get in a couple of months time. It has been a years since I got my Sulcata.
