Greetings to my friends in the pet community, today I bring good news. I am happy and I come to share my joy with you. My cat Panqui turned up after two months missing. In the last post about my pets I told you that I had bought special gifts for them but not for Panqui, because unfortunately she was no longer at home. The arrival of my cat is like a miracle because she didn't have an ID tag. Although other times it has happened that she escapes and comes back, this time I was sure that I would never see her again because of the long time she has been away from home. All attempts to find her were unsuccessful, both pamphlets and personal search all over the sector, knocking on doors and asking for Panqui, however it was useless the search until now that surprisingly she appears.
In fact, I tell you that Panqui was wandering around Medellin while she was away from home but she had a fixed place to go to eat and thank God for that, because that's how I was able to find her. It turns out that the encounter is by pure chance although I must call it a miracle, because I went out to look for my other cat Waffles who had gone out suddenly and I lost her for a few minutes, so I went out to ask in the houses for her. Well, when I knocked on the door of a house, a very kind man opened the door and told me that he had not seen the cat I was describing but that he would keep an eye out for her, especially because Waffles had a collar with her tag on it. But now comes the surprising part, he tells me that only one cat has been coming to his house for a long time just to eat and he leaves. At that moment I see a cat that passes very fast inside the house and I ask the gentleman how was the cat and he tells me that it is a white cat with yellow and black spots, besides it had a mark in the ear, the one that is done to the sterilized cats. I was astonished, I could not believe it. Because her description matched Panqui and I was also convinced by the sky that I saw of the cat that passed quickly in there. So I immediately told the man that this cat belonged to me, that it was my other cat Panqui who had been lost for a long time. The nice man told me to take her with me if she is my cat and so it was, without planning it I returned home with Panqui.
Saludos a mis amigos de la comunidad de mascotas, hoy traigo buenas noticias. Estoy feliz y vengo a compartir mi alegría con ustedes. Mi gata Panqui apareció luego de dos meses extraviada. En la última publicación sobre mis mascotas les dije que les había comprado regalos especiales pero no así a Panqui, porque lamentablemente ya no estaba en la casa. La llegada de mi gata es como un milagro porque no tenía placa de identidad. A pesar que otras veces ha sucedido que se escapa y vuelve, esta vez yo estaba seguro que no iba volverla a ver nunca más por el largo tiempo que ha pasado fuera de casa. Todos los intentos por encontrarla fueron fallidos, tanto los panfletos y la búsqueda personal por todo el sector, tocando puertas y preguntando por Panqui, sin embargo fue inútil la búsqueda hasta ahora que sorprendentemente aparece.
De hecho, les cuento que Panqui deambulaba por Medellín mientras estuvo fuera de casa pero tenía un sitio fijo para ir a comer y gracias a Dios por eso, pues así fue que la pude encontrar. Resulta que el encuentro es por pura casualidad aunque debo llamarle milagro, porque yo salí a buscar a mi otra gata Waffles que había salido de repente y la perdí por unos minutos, por lo que salí a preguntar en las casas por ella. Bueno, cuando toqué la puerta de una casa, abre un señor muy amable que me dice que no ha visto a la gata que le describía pero que estaría pendiente y más porque Waffles tenía collar con su placa. Pero ahora viene lo sorprendente, me dice que a su casa solo va una gata desde hace tiempo solo para comer y se va. En eso veo una gata que pasa muy rápido dentro de la casa y le pregunto al señor que como era la gata y me dice que es una gata blanca con manchas amarillas y negras, además que tenía una marca en la oreja, la que se les hace a los gatos esterilizados. Yo asombrado, no lo podía creer. Pues su descripción correspondía con Panqui y además que me convencí por el celaje que vi del gato que pasó rápido allí adentro. Entonces inmediatamente le digo al señor que esa gata me pertenece, que es mi otra gata Panqui que estaba perdida desde hace tiempo. El buen hombre me dice que me la lleve si es mi gata y así fue, sin planearlo volví a casa con Panqui.
Arriving with Panqui was Waffles outside in the corner of the house and I felt a sense of relief that he hadn't gone far.
Well friends, getting back to Panqui's story it is amazing that the gentleman of that house, a person I contacted by chance turned out to have become his protector and was in charge of giving him food and water.
Already with Panqui my pack was complete although she changed and her sisters have noticed it too. Now she is less sociable, I say this because before this long disappearance she was a little complicated by her bad mood to deal with but now she does not want to engage with anyone. While Waffles and Panela want to play with Panqui because they are happy for her return, Panqui is incredibly petrified in one place at home. She has stayed there since she arrived and wants nothing to do with anyone.
Al llegar con Panqui estaba Waffles afuera en la esquina de la casa y sentí un alivio porque no se había ido lejos.
Bueno amigos, volviendo a la historia de Panqui es increíble que el señor de esa casa, una persona que contacté por casualidad resultó que se había convertido en su protector y se encargaba de darle comida y agua.
Ya con Panqui estaba completa mi manada aunque ella cambió y sus hermanas lo han notado también. Ahora es menos sociable, lo digo porque antes de esta larga desaparición ella era un poco complicada por su mal humor para tratarla pero ahora no quiere entablar relación con nadie. Mientras que Waffles y Panela quieren jugar con Panqui pues ellas si están felices por su regreso, Panqui increíblemente está como petrificada en un solo sitio en casa. Allí se ha quedado desde que llegó y no quiere nada con nadie.
Her sisters Waffles and Panela hope that the situation will improve with Panqui, because they are eager to play with her after two long months of absence.
Sus hermanas Waffles y Panela esperan que la situación mejore con Panqui, porque están deseosas de jugar con ella después de dos largos meses de ausencia.
Meanwhile her adoptive sisters try to tell Panqui that her attitude is not right.
Mientras tanto sus hermanas adoptivas tratan de decirle a Panqui que no está bien su actitud.
There was a sort of rapprochement on Panqui's part but with a lot of distance as you can see. Well her sisters are content because it is possible that Panqui is making a big effort to get back into the pack's circle of sisterhood.
Hubo una especie de acercamiento por parte de Panqui pero con mucha distancia como pueden ver. Bueno sus hermanas se conforman porque es posible que Panqui esté haciendo un gran esfuerzo para volver al círculo de hermandad de la manada.
However Panqui remains with a mixture of apathy and sadness at the same time.
Sin embargo Panqui se mantiene con una mezcla de apatía y tristeza a la vez.
I am understanding that she is a cat with a hippie life. Well, Panqui is like that, that's why more than once she has run away. Fortunately, this time she got good people who took care of her and kindly returned her to me. Now she is back with me but at what a price. She doesn't seem very happy with her return. It's like her happiness is to be free in the world and I have made the decision to change my strategies with her. So as a test I have let her out and after a few hours she came back. I have found that by releasing her from the pressure of confinement she feels more secure with me, it's like she now sees me as a protector and not a jailer. So thanks to this last experience of her disappearance I have learned to understand her more and I see that she is a free soul.
Estoy entendiendo que ella es una gata con una vida hippie. Bueno, Panqui es así, por eso más de una vez se ha escapado. Por fortuna, esta vez consiguió gente buena que la cuidó y amablemente me la han devuelto. Ahora está de vuelta conmigo pero a qué precio. Ella no se nota muy feliz con su regreso. Es como que su felicidad es estar libre en el mundo y he tomado la decisión de cambiar mis estrategias con ella. Así que como prueba la he dejado salir y luego de unas horas ella volvió. He descubierto que al liberarla de la presión del encierro ella siente más seguridad conmigo, es como que ahora me ve como un protector y no un carcelero. Entonces gracias a esta última experiencia de su desaparición he aprendido a entenderla más y veo que ella es un alma libre.
As I have told you in my other posts, I like to adopt pets because they are the ones that don't have a home and they are my favorites. I love my dog Panela and my two cats, Waffles and Panqui. They are very important and now I have to give Panqui her special pending gift and it will be a dog tag like her sisters already have. Soon I have to make an investment in her although I know that this way I will not avoid her escapades but I will have more chance to find her quickly, because here in Colombia it is admirable how people are very careful with pets. 🐾
Como ya les he dicho en mis otras publicaciones, me gusta adoptar mascotas porque ellas son las que no tienen un hogar y son mis favoritas. A mi perra Panela y mis dos gatas, Waffles y Panqui, las amo. Ellas son muy importantes y ahora tengo que darle a Panqui su regalo especial pendiente y será una placa de identificación como ya la tienen sus hermanas. Pronto tengo que hacer una inversión en ella aunque sé que así no evitaré sus escapadas pero si tendré más oportunidad de encontrarla rápido, porque aquí en Colombia es admirable como las personas son muy esmeradas con el tema de las mascotas. 🐾
