Good day, fellow HIVE users from all the corners of the world (especially esteemed Hive Pets community users) as well as dear readers from both HIVE and outside of it! For today's fifth post on my HIVE blog as well as my first daily contribution here on the Hive Pets community, I dearly wanted to write a bit about the fact that cats are very beautiful, empathetic, and loving animals and pets who should be respected and treated right!

As a cat owner for many years, I know very well what it means to have a cat as a pet. It is a tremendous responsibility. It means providing shelter, food, water, care, attention, and love to one of the most beautiful, empathetic, and loving animals on this Earth. And, boy, do they return this protection tenfold! 🙂
Cats are very special and unique animals and, as pets, they are very loving and protective. Contrary to what some people think, pet cats don't like to be alone! Once they had established a strong bond with their owner(s) they want to spend as much time as possible with them! And they are very kind at doing so, trust me, as I am writing from personal experience.
I know for certain from personal experience that some cats behave very much like pet dogs behave, namely they are very protective and nice to their owners. These animals can teach us a lot of lessons about loyalty, commitment, protection, courage, discipline, love, care, attention/focus, fun, and play. Yes, they are very playful and agile as well, it goes without saying.
Cats can also get along well with other animals, even with dogs. Once again, contrary to what some people might think, if grown together since infancy or young age, cats and dogs can be very good friends and can respect each other well.
Back to the main point of this post of mine, I'd like to highlight the importance of treating cats well even if they are not your pets. For example, even if you meet a cat on your way outside, be kind to them, try to pet them if they allow and like it, and give them a little bit of food, water, and love. They need it and they can return these favours with their cuteness and adorability.
Once again, I am writing from personal experience as during the past few years in my hometown I gave some food, water, and care to some cats outside my place in my hometown (as well as some food to some dogs) and they can behave better than some humans.
That's why, dear friends, I strongly believe that showing care and affection as well as respect to cats is very important. Once you become a cat owner, there is no turning back. You love and care for cats for life and this is a very beautiful blessing!
