Good day, fellow HIVE users as well as dear readers from both HIVE and outside of it! For today's first post here on HIVE, I decided to write a bit about a very interesting and, at times, sensitive subject, more specifically the way someone treats animals.

In my humble opinion, the way someone treats animals pretty much says it all about the respective person in that it sums up his or her character in a couple of actions.
The interaction that we have with these beautiful souls (alias animals) is very valuable actually in our lives. At least, in the lives of some who treat them fairly, with respect, dignity, appreciation, care, and love.
If you treat an animal with love, care, protection, respect, and dignity, this means you are a good human being and that you know how to behave with a soul who cannot speak your language in the interaction with you but can speak so much more or communicate a lot through other means (e.g. gestures, eye contact, or the way the respective animal does specific sounds such as meows or barks).
The way animals communicate is very complex and fascinating as well. It becomes increasingly interesting if you have a pet yourself and I can certainly claim this from my personal experience of having mainly cats as pets.
So it is that by the measure we treat animals we can be sometimes treated, analysed, or judged as well. I strongly think animals are a very important part of our lives, especially of the lives of pet owners. This is specifically why the should be treated with respect, consideration, love, care, and protection.
