Good morning, everyone! Here I am back after a couple of days away due to a toothache. I'm fine now and under the care of Bartolo.
Today I want to tell you what Bartolo likes most when the sun is shining. I want him to join me. 🥰
Los días de sol, Bartolo ama salir por la mañana y meterse debajo del árbol de limones de mi mamá. Allí se encuentra un neumático de auto y él lo usa de plataforma para cargarse de la energía solar. Pero esto no es suficiente para él, y cada cierta cantidad de tiempo, abandona ese lugar para entrar a la casa y buscarme.
On sunny days, Bartolo loves to go out in the morning and crawl under my mom's lemon tree. There's a car tire there, and he uses it as a platform to charge with solar energy. But this isn't enough for him, and every so often, he leaves that spot to come into the house and look for me.
Cuando estoy frente a la computadora sentado, él se acerca sigilosamente y se cuelga de mi pierna. Sin duda, quiere llamar mi atención. ¿Yo lo abrazo y le pregunto "qué querés Barto?". Y él sale corriendo hacia la puerta de la cocina, mostrándome que quiere que salga con él. Si no lo sigo, mira hacia mí nuevamente y vuelve a colgarse de mis piernas. Así que no me queda otra que abandonar lo que estaba haciendo y acompañarlo.
When I'm sitting at the computer, he sneaks up and hangs on my leg. He's clearly trying to get my attention. I hug him and ask, "What do you want, Barto?" And he runs toward the kitchen door, showing me he wants me to go out with him. If I don't follow him, he looks my way again and hangs on to my legs again. So I have no choice but to drop what I was doing and join him.
Una vez afuera, lo primero que hace es tirarse al suelo, como invitándome a que haga lo mismo. Yo, tratando de entender lo que me está diciendo, hago lo mismo que él hace y me tiro al piso.
Una vez que vio que me tiré, se acerca y se pone debajo de mi cuerpo, apoyándose sobre mi brazo y lo único que hace es cerrar los ojitos, pero demostrando una alegría enorme. Se lo ve feliz al haber cumplido su objetivo, que fue sacarme de mi trabajo para que disfrute del día y del sol como él lo estaba haciendo.
Bartolo es sorprendente cómo se comunica con cada miembro de mi familia, pero la conexión que tengo con él es única. ❤️
Once outside, the first thing he does is throw himself on the ground, as if inviting me to do the same. I, trying to understand what he's saying, do the same and throw myself to the ground.
Once he saw me throw myself, he comes closer and gets under my body, leaning on my arm. All he does is close his eyes, but he shows immense joy. He seems happy to have accomplished his goal, which was to get me out of work so I can enjoy the day and the sun like he was doing.
Bartolo is amazing at how he communicates with every member of my family, but the connection I have with him is unique. ❤️
