March 20th, 2020 that glorious day, Hive started with the mission to revive the word decentralization that Steemit Inc killed with the help of Justin Sun.
Here we are today, enjoying the decentralized, censorship-free, community-driven blockchain called Hive, who could imagine that, eh?
Time flies so fast, and who could think that 2 years ago that we can be the most decentralized community on the internet? I guess none...
We are here and we are not stopping until somebody finally notices us and starts looking at what we have built for 2 years!
So how did it started?
As one of the active participants, just want to share the struggle we've faced on #SteemHostileTakeOver and why we believed that #Hive / #Steem saga has made remarkable substance on #web3 and a potential positive watershed moment in the history of blockchain governance.

One day, just woke up and was shocked to see that all of the community elected witnesses were voted out by Sun's sock puppet witnesses. Crying for myself, the blockchain that I used to love is now centralized. BUT, d community fought back to reclaim the top 20 spots for witnesses
We are all powering up to help vote the integrity of decentralization. In perspective, we are winning, my heart is jumping with gladness that some of the community elected witnesses made it on top. Until the big exchanger allowed Sun to withdraw their Steem first before anyone else
We have realized that we cannot win this game, the "premine stake" is the root of all the problems.

By March 20, 2020, a dedicated, decentralized community launched the #hive network in response to a centralized attack.
All accounts that participated in the centralized attack were excluded, that includes the ninja mine stake.

Why does it matter? It is an important lesson that “we don't own anything under a centralized entity”.
Decentralization means
✅ No Premine
✅ No private sales / No VC funding / No ICO
✅ No company/entity
✅ No CEO/founders reward
Only 100% community-owned
What is our plan from here onwards (future goals)?
We already have everything, the goal now is to promote Hive on Web 2 until someone finally hears what we are saying.
Perhaps, we are the one of the most active Hive promoters on Twitter up to date and have no plan of stopping. I already found the best blockchain community that any other projects can offer.
We must find our niche on the community and start using it for the benefits of decentralization and freedom, it is what is and we have no better option than Hive, after all that happens. I am grateful to see this happened on front of my eyes
