When I first saw this topic, I just smiled to myself. It’s a deep question honestly, because I’ve been thinking about my health and fitness lately. So, do I consider myself fit or healthy Hmm not fully but I’m trying. I no go lie, I’m not where I want to be, but I’m also not where I used to be.
Let’s start with fitness. Right now, I don’t think I’m fit the way I should be. Climbing stairs dey tire me sometimes, and my energy no too dey like before. I sit down a lot, I don’t exercise often and I’ve added small weight that I’m not really happy with. But guess what I’m not judging myself I just know say I need to work on it.
When it comes to health, I dey try small small. I drink water often, sleep well or at least I try. and I avoid stress when I can. These days I’m learning that being healthy is not only about body shape or six.packs. Even if your body fine, but your mind dey scattered, you’re not truly healthy. So for me, mental peace is part of my health goal. That’s why I’ve been cutting off too much drama and focusing on peace of mind.
I also dey work on my food choices. This one hard pass, because I love food too much 😅 But now I eat more fruits, more vegetables, and I’m cutting down on sugar and soft drinks. I’m also trying not to eat late at night again. I know say change no easy, but I’m ready to keep trying. The goal is not just to look good l want to feel good too.
One thing helping me is setting small goals weekly. Like no fizzy drinks this week” or “walk 3 times this week And when I do them I feel proud. The progress may be slow but at least I’m moving forwa
So, am I fit or healthy? Not 100% yet, but I’m on the journey. And for me, that’s what matters. Health no be something to take for granted. Life is better when you feel good inside and outside.
